Virtues and Blessings of Recitation Of Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is the religious book of Muslims, and it is obligatory for every follower of Islam to recite this glorious book regularly. Islam and the Quran are the complete and perfect guidance not only for Muslims but also for entire humankind. The Noble Quran encloses many blessings and virtues and Allah especially awards those people who read Quran consistently. In the following lines, the virtues and blessings of reciting Quran is elaborated.

Quran about Quran:

Firstly, Allah on many occasions in Quran has underscored the greatness and grandeur of this book. For example, in one of the verse Allah says,

“This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.” (2:2)

Apart from this particular verse, many other verses in Quran glorify it and its Creator. In fact, this incomparable book is indeed a source of true guidance and fountain of knowledge and wisdom that guarantees success not only in this world but also on the Day Resurrection.

The blessings of Quran recitation before Fajr prayer:

The benefits and blessings of reciting Quran in the night prayers is proved by many traditions of Muhammad (PBUH). The recitation of Quran is an integral part of prayers and worship in Islam and therefore, reading this book during night brings many benefits and blessings with it.

Recitation of Quran in Ramadan:

The month of Ramadan is the most sacred month in Islamic calendar that has many blessings of its own. Similarly, reading Quran becomes even more important in this very month ”Radaman. Allah says it is the month in which the Quran as guidance for mankind.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH), being the first ever Quran teacher himself, used to recite it completely every three nights during the month of Ramadan and every two nights during the last ten days of this sacred month.

Overall benefits of Quran recitation:

There are innumerable rewards for reciting the great book in general. In one of His Hadiths reported in Al Tirmidhi, Holy Prophet said that anyone who reads a letter from Quran will have a reward and this reward will be even multiplied by ten.

This Hadith explains that the blessings of reciting any of the letters in Holy Quran will be multiplied, and the person will be rewarded even more. In another Hadith, Muhammad (PBUH) says that anyone who reads Quran beautifully will be rewarded, but that person will be rewarded twice who feels difficulty in speaking Arabic and still recites Holy Quran.

Conclusion:

It is the stern belief of every Muslim that reciting Quran also brings some worldly advantages for them, as well. For example, it has healing powers and certain Surahs and verses which are beneficial for certain situations and conditions. In fact, Quran is the other name of benefits and blessings.
