Wade Micheal Page: Islamophobia Heading in the U.S Where?

on Wednesday, July 31, 2013

Guard veteran Wade Michael Page killed six individuals then afterward himself one Sunday morning at a Sikh sanctuary close Milwaukee, Wis.

The assault seems to be treated as a contempt wrongdoing and is acknowledged by the FBI to be provincial terrorism. Teresa Carlson, the FBI operator responsible for the examination into the assault, told journalists “the org is investigating [Page's] binds to the white supremacist development.”

Thus, after the disgraceful, grisly shooting, we have been examining disdain wrongdoing and religious segregation.

Since they have been chump to many reported scorn wrongdoings since 9/11, the strike has started to concern the Sikhs who live crosswise over America. A few parts of the Sikh group felt forced to tell the country they are quiet individuals, not aggressor Muslims. Rajwant Singh, executive of the Washington-built Sikh Council with respect to Religion and Education, told the Associated Press that the assault was an aftereffect of obliviousness: “This is something we have been dreading since 9/11 this sort of occurrence will happen. It was a matter of time since there’s so much lack of awareness and individuals befuddle us [as] being parts of Taliban or fitting in with Osamaa] container Laden.”

Additionally, it has been proposed since the strike that as Page had a 9/11 tattoo on his arm, he possibly wrongly accepted his chumps to be Muslims. Hence, some have credited the assault to Islamophobia regardless of no cementing proof of this having yet been discovered.

Daryl Johnson, a previous expert for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), told the Huffington Post that Homeland Security has failed to shape a local terrorism unit to dispense with this sort of assault. “Knowledge of the past was dependably 20-20, yet if DHS had had a down home terrorism unit today, we would doubtlessly have conveyed a cautioning, a risk appraisal [to] Muslim-Americans being assaulted. I know this was a Sikh sanctuary, yet he confused them for Muslims,” Johnson demonstrated. In spite of consistent reports of expanding savagery against mosques, “not a solitary brainpower report has cautioned these groups. … Somebody’s not interfacing the dabs,” Johnson included.

In this way, nobody knows why Page picked the Oak Creek Sikh sanctuary. Some individuals have inferred he may have focused on the admirers at the sanctuary as a result of their distinctive style of garments: turbans. Others say that maybe since the individuals who go to the sanctuary have dull skin the shooter may have essentially thought Sikhs were Muslims.

On CNN News, Carol Costello associated the shooting with Islamophobia and sharped out that this was a national issue that should be talked over genuinely. She additionally said “numerous spectators say Sikhs have been unjustifiably focused on since 9/11, yet that intimates Muslims might be decently focused on. Actually, they are focused on.”

Yes, since 9/11, Muslims have been focused on. As you may recall, a mosque was pulverized by a fiery breakout in Missouri. The occupants of Murfreesboro, Tenn., have been battling to keep a mosque from opening. In Washington, D.C., U.S. Agent Peter King, executive of the Homeland Security Committee, has held an arrangement of congressional hearings on Muslim radicalization –incorporating inside the military –and has asserted radical Muslims impact the US government.

I have to say that a right hand educator of social science at State University of Colorado, Lori Peek, said in her book Behind the Backlash that after the events of 9/11, Muslim Americans came to be at risk to aggravating measures of kickback harshness. In her book, 140 Muslim Americans depict their encounters with inclination, division, disallowance and incitement–both former and after 9/11. The book looks to show why flaw is so regular after catastrophes, using Muslim Americans as the prime specimen.

Then again, I ask why we haven’t had anything about the white supremacist danger. The research organization ”New America Foundation” said that since 9/11 there have been twice as numerous local terrorist ambushes by conservative fanatics (eight) as by jihadists (four). Some way or another, since 9/11, the saying “terrorism” in the U.S. will - as a rule - bring to remembrance interfaces with Al-Qaeda, while white supremacists and other conservative activists are frequently overlooked by general society. I suppose conservative radicals in the U.S. were less averse to utilize brutality when communicating their political or social plans than those inspired by Al-Qaeda’s belief system since then.

In conclusion, I am not certain assuming that we can truly identify the Wisconsin strike to Islamophobia, yet I am very certain that Islamophobia is a genuine, climbing issue in the U.S. Something must be carried out soon to anticipate more brutality sometime to come. Religious opportunity in the U.S. has been dominated by Islamophobia, so I was not ready to expound on it without much fanfare; however, cheerfully the days in which we can compose and read numerous articles about categorical religious opportunity in the US are not so far away.

How Islam in US is different from Middle Eastern Countries?

on

Islam has been around the world for thousands of years. The influence of Islam spreads across the world and reaches almost all continents. Muslims are categorized as Sunni (80 to 90%) and Shia (10 to 20%). Indonesia is the largest Muslim majority country with overall population up to 13%, 25% live in South Asia, 20% in the Middle East and about 15% in Sub-Saharan Africa. Sizeable minorities are also found in Russia, China, Europe and Americas. Immigrants and converts are usually found in almost every part of the world. With 23% of total earth population and up to 1.6 billion followers, Islam is the 2nd largest and one of fastest growing religions in the world.

There is a great debate on the internet and media regarding the influence of Islam in America and other European and Western countries. According to the report of a recent survey, up to 7 million Muslims are recently living in different areas of the USA. Some of them are immigrants while other are converts. As we all know, the United States of America is a non Muslim country with a majority of Christians. Now the rising question is about whether the Muslim minorities living in different areas of the USA have complete freedom to practice their religion as the Muslim majority in countries like Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, and Turkey.

Islam in the United States of America is not much different from the Middle Eastern Countries. Generally speaking, the freedom of religion, separation of church and state are officially established in First Amendment of the United States Constitutions, ‘’Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.’’ These two sections known as ‘’free exercise clause’’ and ‘’establishment clause.’’ They offer a clear codification of religious practice and tolerance in the USA referenced by Federal Court in a continuing process of navigating current legal predicaments such as public funding of provincial schools and prayer in public schools.

Like people in the Middle Eastern Countries, Muslim minorities living in the United States of America have a complete freedom to practice their religion as they want. There is no restriction on conversion as well; we have seemed that a good number of Americans have converted to Islam. After 9/11, the situation totally changed and Muslims resided in the USA faced numerous problems, but now their conditions are as good as before that tragedy. Muslims in the USA proved that they are not rebels and their religion advocates brotherhood, peace and tranquility instead of killing innocent people.

There are various religious organizations recently working in the United States of America to promote social, political and religious awareness among the young generation and to protect the interests of the Muslim communities. American-Muslim Alliance, Islamic Supreme Council of America, American Muslim Congress, American Islamic Forum and Democracy, Muslim American Society, Islamic Information Centre, Muslim Advocates, Muslim Public Affair Council etc are some of the most famous religious organizations working for Muslims in USA.

Suggestions Agreed by Scholars to End Crisis in Egypt

on

Islamic scholar and legal advisor of Dr. Morsi, Dr. Mohamed Saleem Al Auda with constitutional specialist Tharik Al Bishri have brought forward a set of suggestions in order to end the current crisis and clashes in Egypt. This was pointed considering the mass demonstration protest asking for the return of democracy, further release and return of Ex- President Dr. Morsi.

As for a reliable source, a released report consisted of the following suggestions and points, which have also been agreed upon by many scholars and specialists such as Hassan As Shafi – Advisor – Sheikh Al Azhar, Islamic Scholar Mohammed Al Imara, Dr. Saifudeen Abdul Fattah, Dr. Mohammed Muhthar, Dr. Thala’ath Abibi and few more.

01. Ex-President Morsi should take or be given the charge as the President again.

02. Considering all parties in the country, a temporary Cabinet/ National Governing Body should be appointed and the President should hand over the power to the Cabinet.

03. Temporary Cabinet should host the Parliament Election within 60 days of its formation, and the party which wins over majority will form the permanent Cabinet/ Government for the time period. There by the temporary Cabinet’s power will be transferred to the newly elected body.

04. Elected cabinet should appoint a suitable group to re-analyze the constitution which was brought to people’s voting by Dr. Morsi in 2012.

05. Host the presidential Election according to the constitution without further delays as the constitution was done. As formal person who wins over majority will take charge as the president, and certain powers will be transferred from the cabinet to the President.

06. Re-consider the constitution with democratically elected president and with a better understanding of all the parties of the country.

Those are the six points suggested and promoted from several scholars to the Egyptian government and people in order to solve or end the crisis that the country is witnessing nowadays. How many would agree and how many would disagree, it all depends on the Egyptian people. No intervention is allowed or even permitted to any external party.

May Allah bless the Egyptian nation and revolution, and He may guide them towards the right path.

Elections in Mali: Malians Back to Democracy

on

A large number of Malians are expected to vote in the elections they trust will introduce another time of peace and dependability in a nation shredded by 18-month of political emergency and fightings.

Voters will have a decision of 27 contenders on Sunday as they head off to the elections despite anything that might have happened before, since a separatist uprising prompted an overthrow, then afterward a clearing religious hostile a year ago which toppled one of the areas generally stable political governments.

The three-week promotions and campaign ended on Friday without major occurrences; however, it was played out in the shadow of savagery in the north which has thrown question over Mali’s preparation to conduct a free and fair elections.

Mali’s provisional leader Dioncounda Traore and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon have recognized that the vote may not be called perfect due to the current situation, in a nation with 500,000 nationals relocated by clash, yet have urged Malians to appreciate the result.

Experts are of the view that Mali, under force from the worldwide neighborhood, is hurrying to the elections which will do more damages rather than healing.

Yet Louis Michel, the head of the European Union perception mission said conditions had been met for a trustworthy first round, as it rose that 85 percent of voter cards had been disseminated.

“I believe that these elections can take place in a context and in conditions that are acceptable and do not allow for a distortion or an abuse of the result,” he told reporters in the capital Bamako.

A significant part of the stress in front of the elections has been kept tabs on Kidal, seized for five months by Tuareg rebels until a ceasefire accord permitted the Malian military prior this month to give security.

Ethnic clashes between Tuaregs and common black people as meager as a week back left four people dead while five elections workers were seized in Tessalit, 200km north of Kidal, by shooters thought to be from the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA).

There is uncertainty because Mali has held five elections since the end of military rule, and all of them were with problems of serious measures. The country has been facing insurgency for the last 20 months and also there are deficiencies in the voter registration system.

The fight has been to a great extent positive, energetic and concentrated on the vision and necessities of the contenders. More than a year after the Tuareg-headed, defiance in northern Mali started a military upset and the resulting occupation of the northern part of the nation by al-Qaeda associated jihadists, the common temperament today in Mali is that the most exceedingly bad is over andit is the time to turn the page.

To be in Mali today is to be encompassed by an obvious feeling of energy. Contenders have held arouses in stadiums stuffed with happy and enthusiastic supporters occupied with great old style campaigning. Bamako, the capital city, is brightened with uncountable banners and slogans. Cabbies gladly show the names of their favorite competitors.

Mali does not have a history of bad election politics and in spite of the emergency, battling so far has been sure and kept tabs on center issues, for example reconciliation, unemployment, education, food peace, security and healthcare.

Islamic Teachings About Working Women

on Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Today, in many societies women are considered useless and meaningless while men are given a lot of importance, which is not right. If a woman is single and she does not have anyone to support her financially, then she can go out to work and earn her living. Islam has given a woman enough freedom to go out and work for herself to live good a life. A good woman should possess certain qualities. According to Lord Bryce:

“The qualities which are required to make a woman a good person are intelligence, self control and conscience.”

Another writer says:

“Common sense, knowledge and devotion are the virtues of a true woman.”

In the modern history, many countries depend on women. If women are good and have different qualities, a country is praised by other countries; but if the women are not good then it becomes difficult for the country to develop and be respected among the nations. A good woman must possess the following qualities:

Intelligence And Wisdom:

Every woman must be educated enough so that she may:

Be able to tell the good or the bad and to understand the affairs of life and country properly.

Be able to understand her own rights given by the country as well as to perform her duties with proper understanding and knowledge.

Be able to select clever and wise people for the betterment of her country and her smooth running life.

Self Control:

Self control is an important quality without which no woman can be a good woman. A woman should be capable to control herself. She should be patient and tolerant towards others. She must obey the verdict of the majority; however, she may strongly feel it wrong. She must not use violence. She must consider the interests of the country to be more important than her private interests.

Honesty And Performance Of Duties:

A good woman must possess conscience and devotion which means a sense of civic duty, responsibility and spirit of sacrifice. Honesty leads her to discharge her duties honestly and diligently.

Obedience To Law:

The highest quality of a good woman is that she must obey the laws of the country and should not break the laws for her personal interests.

Spirit Of Sacrifice:

From the qualities of a good woman, the spirit of sacrifice for others is very worthy. She is then able to sacrifice her personal interests for the betterment of her country.

Cleanliness:

A good woman must have intellectual and brain qualities. For good health, cleanliness of the environment, cleanliness of self and home are extremely important. A woman has the responsibility to look after her own health. She must keep her home and environment clean, whereas, the government has its first duty to look after the general health of women.

Justice:

The literal meaning of justice is the way to keep the right things in their right places. It is the foundation of the divine law. No aspect of life of a woman can be complete without justice. It is the justice which makes a society peaceful and prosperous.

Fruits of the Latest Technology in Islam

on

Islam is the religion which is bestowed upon the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) about 1400 hundred years ago. Islam and its holy book called Quran are the enlightened source of guidance for human beings regardless of their concerned era and time. It was as modern for the poor illiterates of Saudi Arabia as now for all the human beings. The topic of this article is to calculate the use of the latest technology in Islam.

The major objective of Islam and a practical Muslim is to accept basic teachings of Islam and spread the same noble message to all non Muslims. In earlier days, Islam spread as the followers of Muhammad (S.A.W) traveled all around the world and through their practices the religion gained popularity in the different corners of the world. For this very objective, the latest development has taken a revolution in the process of preaching the basic soul of Islam e.g. with the invention of internet and its vast spread all over the world, it is now easy to disseminate the teachings of Islam in every corner of the world without being physically present over there.

For Muslims, it is now easy to take different information from the internet and there is no need to go to the religious scholars for religious solutions (fatwa) all the time. Almost all the religious groups (fiqa) have developed their websites for their followers and they are also free for non Muslims for the sake of preaching. All Quran, its translations in various languages and sayings of prophet (Hadith) are now at the distance of one click instead of exploring the huge books and libraries. The recordings of distinguished scholars of Islam are also now available at the internet. The social media of the internet world is also playing a positive role in the dissemination of Islamic knowledge, problems and solutions to it. It has become a platform where every Muslim can express his experiences, feelings and expressions to the world.

Despite the fruits of internet, there are numerous latest technologies which are directly or indirectly yielding benefits for the Muslim communities. Take the example of the fastest travel facilities nowadays with their great benefit for people on Hajj pilgrimage, and those who are on the preaching mission in the world. Same is in the case of telecommunication: the mobile phone has become an integral part of life, and for Muslims it may carry Quran, Hadith, alarms for prayers (namaz/salat), Islamic calendar, tool to tell the exact direction of House of Allah (qibla) located in Saudi Arabia and so many useful applications which are beneficial for Muslims. The air cooling systems are making our mosques a better place to spend the precious time there and learn more about Islam. Laptops, computers, multimedia and print media are also providing benefits to the Islam.

on

What Ends the Anti-Muslim Discrimination: “White” House or “Right” House?

on

The Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren arranged for a political Iftar Dinner where he invited Muslim leaders. Nonetheless, Imam Antepli of the Duke University was doubtful whether it was even significant or not. Meanwhile, the Obama administration invited Muslim leaders for an Iftar Dinner to the White House while the Islamic studies professor of University of North Carolina, Omid Saifi, called to boycott it.

It’s evident that we, the American Muslims, are in an uphill battle to recognize the correct posture. If you proscribe, you simply split a diplomatic knot but again, if you attend, you are considered the opponent’s supporter.

Whilst I empathize the claims of Professor Saifi, the Obama administration should stop countrywide religious and racial profiling, discharge Guantanamo Bay prisoners and discard overseas drone assaults. However, I knew the boycott will go up in smoke generating societal media wave.

Alternatively, distasteful cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were printed in a Danish newspaper. The reaction was to boycott Danish products. Even, Iran’s largest mobile phone company, Irancell, had to sink deep in the trouble of boycott since it sent a religiously hateful text message. Israeli dates were sold at American Muslim stores during the holy month of Ramazan and what was the response? It seems like anybody’s guess that it faced boycott. However, those dates are still sold; Irancell is nonetheless in trade while Muslims eat Danish cookies.

These boycotts vanished partly because of the Internal Muslim disagreement. We all know the sectarian cracks that loiter underneath the tactful smiles. It comes as no surprise that not only Muslim Congressmen but also four dozen diplomats attended the event on 25th July.

On the contrary, our missing confidence is the bigger reason. To change the anti-Muslim discrimination you have to visit the ‘right’ house, not only the White House. It is the house of God who has forewarned in the Holy Quran, that Allah will change the people’s circumstance only if they amend their hearts.

The Holy Quran emphasizes on ethnics. But who actually desires to hear about it? Self –analysis is lackluster whereas boycotts are ostentatious.

The drone attacks are depraved and should be stopped but where is the urge to boycott the Saudi sponsored madrassahs stimulating dreadful attacks that have claimed tenfold lives of Muslims in contrast to the drones?

We should protest against Pakistani prisoners’ familiar extrajudicial assassination.

There should be a voice of disapproval against US authorities’ religious and racial profiling but who is going to fuss about these?

Claiming the similar rights in the US, which we deliberately flatten upon in the Muslim countries takes away the power of our ethical disagreements. It associates us with the approach we dislike. It allows the White House to fill up the sought after Iftar dinner to its edge regardless the calls for a boycott.

Ramazan is the time for prayers. We should follow Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’s philosophy and be generous to victims of discrimination of our own backyards.

Although the White House overlooks our claims, the ‘right’ house possibly will give its consent to them.

Musharraf Trial – A Conflict of Interests

on

The Constitution of Pakistan 1973 defines the crime of High Treason in Article 6:

“Any person who abrogates or subverts or suspends or holds in abeyance, or attempts or conspires to abrogate or subvert or suspend or hold in abeyance, the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by any other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason.”

Pakistan’s has hardly been stable ever since its birth in 1947. Each and every ruler – be it a democratically elected politician, or a self proclaimed authoritarian in uniform – has acted on one single agenda: get your benefit out of the land and people of this country and flee. After the assassination of Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan moved on to the path of deterioration – even before any significant development. Extremely frequent changes in regime during the first decade affected the nation adversely. Rest was destroyed by the four army coup d’états! Nothing could be done to punish the first three; the fourth one has –to his misfortune – been arrested and kept in custody.

General (retd) Pervez Musharraf illegally took over the country’s affairs in 1999. Where on one side his era is defined by economic stability, on the other hand that decade witnessed the use of force and aggression on General’s opponents. His reign is marked by the unfortunate incidents of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, Lal Masjid Operation, Mr. Bugti’s assassination, missing persons, and use of force on participants of Lawyers’ Movement. However, the impact of General’s actions taken on 3rd November 2007 was the greatest. And the very acts have tightened the noose of gallows around his stiff neck!!

Lately, the newly elected PM Mr. Sharif has demonstrated his interest in trying Mr. Musharraf for High Treason under Article 6. What ails my mind is the conflict of interest that overshadows the right intentions involved.

There isn’t any reservation about Mr. Musharraf’s trial for the wrongdoings on his part. Nonetheless, he wasn’t alone when he committed those dire mistakes; he had a brigade of advisers giving him cautions about every matter. If he is to be blamed for November 7th Emergency proclamation; the “advisers” need to be included in the list of defendants as it wasn’t a “one-man show”!

Law has certain boundaries and limitations I’m pretty fond of; one such limitation is the element of “Bias”. The slightest presence of personal or professional bias can corrupt the whole case; thus it requires to be avoided. A judge is not allowed to hear the cases where he/she might relate with the victim or the alleged; after all the judging authority is but a human. Unfortunately, judiciary of Pakistan suffers from a stigma – nullifying the rule of bias – called “Doctrine of Necessity”; thanks to Justice Muneer.

Unfortunately (for Mr. Musharraf), he is going to be tried by some of the same members of judiciary who were victimized by him during his period of rule. I wonder how the judges would manage to alienate themselves from the nightmares of their past persecution by General Musharraf; chances in this case are high for contamination with bias.

All of us have to wait and see how the story unfolds in future!

What are various channels for learning Islam for UK Muslims?

on

Discovering Islam is one of the leading Islamic sites that offer hundreds of free Islamic TV channels, online books/videos, Loads of information based on Muslims, Islam, scientific reality about Quran, stories of reverts/converts to Islam, and Prophet Mohammed bible prophecies. The major purpose of this website is to explain the questioning minds about Islam, by putting light on the practices and beliefs of billions of Muslims worldwide. Islam being a universal religion is open to all the people, from all colors, nationalities and races. Thousands of people revert/convert to Islam every year. You get to discover why these reverts/converts choose to embrace/adopt Islam as their religion and choose to be Muslims.

Channel 4, turns itself in to a muezzin in the month of Ramadan and broadcasts the Islamic prayer every morning continuously for 30 days. Ralph Lee, head of C4’s factual programming said that the channel will keep acting as a countrywide tannoy system for the Muslims in the UK. They have also given a platform to Anjem Chaudary to represent an attempt and to air his obnoxious views; Ralph Lee says it is essential to move away from Islam that is associated with terrorism and extremism. Channel C4 says, that they just want to cater to the 2.8 million moderate, ordinary British Muslims staying in the UK observing Ramadan.

They also broadcast services from within the mosques as they do for Christians from the church at the time of Easter. They make documentaries about the origins that led to Ramadan. They also cater to the millions of the Muslims by lampooning Mohammed and mocking their religion, as they might do for the character of the Jesus and Christians. The Morning Prayer is broadcasted on the television, rest every prayer is played on the website of C4. This prayer is delivered by the musician Hassen Rasool and a 3 minute video showing the London landmarks including the St. Paul’s Cathedral. They could have chosen the Finsbury Park Mosque, Islamic Cultural Centre, Regent’s Park Mosque, and more, but they choose St Paul’s Cathedral for the Islamic call to prayer. This channel simply facilitates the Islamic worship is shown all over the country.

They are functioning as muezzin in a mosque by sounding the adhan. The objective here clearly is proselytism. It is essential that we let go of the notion that prayer call is an Islamic equivalent of ringing the bell. There was a poll conducted by the London Evening Standard, where it was found that most of the Muslims were intolerant and a lesser number of them were tolerant. It was also found that a majority of Muslims are generally isolated from other communities. Also, many of them believed that their most holy day, which is Eid, should not be celebrated in the UK. A few of the channels also showed that people are not in the favor of Muslim teachers covering their faces at work.

The Importance of Last Ashra-e-Ramzan

on

The Prophet PBUH has been reported in “Muslim” as saying “All past sins are forgiven to those who spend the night in vigil of Destiny with devout faith and hope of reward”.

Also, Al Bukhari has recorded Him (PBUH) say “Seek Laylatul-Qadar among the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan’’ (Lailatul Qadar the nights of great value and importance, the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th nights of Ramazan –ul-Mubarak)

Nijaat means “salvation” and in the third ten days (3rd Ashra, Ashra of Nijaat) Allah keeps them under His benevolence and kindness, accepts prayers, keeps them safe from and His wrath in the Hereafter. In these days, most of the sins are forgiven, and it is said that if you cannot get forgiveness in these days then there are little chance of forgiveness as these are the best days and nights of the year.

The entire month of Ramadan is the wellspring of blessing for each Muslim. Individual’s pray and keep fast the entire month for Allah for their extreme fondness. It’s the month of peace, concordance and humbleness. It instructs the lesson of persistence to every Muslim who keeps fast.

In spite of the fact that all the Ashras of Ramadan (last ten days of Ramadan) have equivalent imperativeness yet the final Ashra is the farewell ten days of Ramadan. Muslims offer prayers and worship increasingly in these ten days. After the final ashra, here comes the definitive delight of Eid. The happiness and blessing for the devoted Ramadan precedes Eid which comprises of 30 days. Every 10 days of Ramadan are termed as an ashra. The primary ten days are termed as the blessing days, the Second ashra are forgiveness and the third/final ashra are for getting free from the fiery hellfire. Muslims perform exceptional ceremonies to benefit from these chances of blessing. They pay zakat, sadqa and support financially to the unfortunate on the final ashra of Ramadan.

Another great and generally esteemed custom on the final ashra of Ramadan is Etakaf. In Etakaf, Muslims sit in Masjids for a long time. They abstain from gatherings, and invest all their time in offering prayers to God and reciting the verses from Holy Quran. Etakaf has countless blessings upon Muslims in final ashra of Ramadan. The final ashra of Ramadan is the ending ten days of Ramadan after that Ramadan will be seen one year from now. So Muslims attempt earnestly to profit its full peace before seeing it off. You will find various verses and hadits about the significance of final ashra. As an abiding Muslims, it’s our job to watch the final ashra with blessed enthusiasm and attention.

The point when men are occupied in worship, there is a round of ladies and youngsters who take these ten days of final ashra of Ramadan as the planning period for the Eid day. Yes, Eid is the blessing from Allah for his submissive men who made him blissful in Ramadan. Ladies, young ladies, men and kids do lots of shopping for the day of Eid ahead. Even The present wave of price hikes can’t prevent them from preparing Eid day fully.

While enjoying Eid day and watching the final ashra of Ramadan with all its benefits, we ought not to forget our sisters and brothers who are left under the sky on the kindness of winds. We may additionally impart our bliss and our delights to them on the Day of Eid. If we can make them smile, then only our fast and other worships can be accepted before the Almighty Allah. Wishing you an exceptionally blessed final ashra of Ramadan and Eid day!

Following the Path of Allah Solves All the Problems

on Monday, July 29, 2013

It is a fact that the situation and conditions of the Muslims living in a non-Muslim country is not only objectionable but also intolerable. Islam guides all Muslims to follow the teaching of the only Lord who has created the entire universe. The basic purpose for which the human being was created is to worship Allah and to follow the guidelines of Islam. Allah has clearly described in His Holy book ‘Quran’ which was sent to His most respectable and honored man Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) that He has created man to worship Him. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the last messenger of Allah who brought the ultimate message of Allah to the mankind showing them the right path of life. The Holy Prophet (SAW) was indeed a ruler for the men of the whole universe. The Revelation sent by Allah to His Holy Prophet (SAW) for the betterment of human being contained a lot of instructions and guidelines, but the only way to implement these guidelines and teachings in our daily life is through political command and supremacy.

Most of the Muslims residing in the United States think that they are living in a place where there is no restrictions regarding religion, and they are enjoying freedom of religion, but the actual picture is contrary to this. The bitter reality is that no one has freedom of religion in this country. If a Muslim thinks that he has freedom of religion living in the United States, he is living in a fool’s paradise. Freedom of religion actually means that you are free to implement the laws of Islam and the teachings of Allah on your daily life without any sort of hindrance, but the Muslims residing in the United States do not have such freedom. They only have the freedom of individual action which is also restricted to some extent which is quite an isolated thing from the freedom of religion. Muslims in the United States cannot lead their life according to the teachings of Islam. They don’t have permission to worship Allah openly as Muslims do in the Islamic countries all around the world. They are compelled to lead their life in a way which the system of the United States permits. So, this is definitely not a freedom of religion for Muslims.

The most imperative thing in the freedom of religion especially for the Muslims is the availability of mosques where Muslims can offer prayers five times a day without any restrictions along with all other facilities. The Muslim families living in the United States have changed their lives totally according to the society of the non-Muslim communities. The only solution for this problem is that the Muslim families should turn to the teachings of Allah.

Ramadan Live Transmissions Or Vile Entertainment?

on

Prior to the beginning of the holy month ”Ramadan”; the month of only blessings and forgiveness, we see almost every channel on our television welcoming it in its own way. It feels good to watch a change for a while, or an Islamic change, to be particular, on the channels that are crowded with nonsense. I admit part of the excitement I felt towards Ramadan nearing us in the last days of Sha’ban credit to the anchors promoting and advertisements of the Iftar/Sehr live shows, we all must be watching nowadays.

Today, we have a very good topic to talk about; in fact a very serious issue which needs discussion and conclusion from public, since it is the audience who has encouraged these live transmissions for over, what, four years? Let me put the basic question of my article first, and then I would proceed to my opinion and thoughts about it: Are these Sehr/Iftar live Ramadan transmissions for a good cause to help the needy? Or are they yet another way to promote products and humiliate the population? What do YOU think?

Now, let’s begin from the start. There are almost ten news channels, and four entertainment ones, where I have seen live transmissions this year particularly (could be more, but according to my count). If not all, then half of the said above number invite a huge mass of people from all over Pakistan to sit in their shows and go away with their hands full of gifts and awards. It sounds good to hear that; but is it really pleasant to watch the scene?

I truthfully don’t know who invented the idea, but whoever did, I believe it was for a good cause. I started watching GEO where Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain, a famous politician, broadcaster and religious student, was hosting it. From approximately 3:00, the two major entertainment channels, ARY digital media and GEO entertainment, start their programs and stretch it till the time of Iftar. Similarly, for Sehr transmission, it begins from 2:00 till 4:30 at night. During such a long period, there are several segments from Islamic discussion forums to encourage young children having their first fast. I must admit the very first show I’ve mentioned above impressed me, because it did solve many Ramadan related issues with our own scholars. People asked questions, and they could get their answers then and there. I also appreciated the panel discussion where I learned a lot, and got inspired towards religious duties, as well.

This year or the last one, however, flipped my views back. Apart from the less popular Ramadan transmissions on other news channels, let’s talk about the two major ones, which all of us must have watched, and which, in fact, creates the main issue.

True, there is encouragement for youngsters, there is religious competition with prizes that motivates, there is an open forum for all to solve any misconception, and there is a religious discussion that inspires. Nonetheless, there is also pure entertainment. Now, there is no harm in a little entertainment for our fiery public, is there? But you and I both know, the type of entertainment these two channels are giving for TV viewers is least not respectable.

They have roomful expensive products, and they make that as bait for people. I particularly condemn ARY’s which is hosted by Junaid Khan and Waseem Badami as they treat their audiences like a crowd of hungry cats. It is good that you get an award when you answer a question right, but it is least not good when you humiliate and insult them publicly. This year, I see, these shows have crossed their limits. While those of Sama News Channel, and Hum TV network focus on religious talks and making people learn maximum in these few days, the said above particularly upset me with their way of treating public and women. It is a public channel, for God’s sake. And it is your own audience; your population that makes your work move.

Their way of treating the audience apart, these shows have corrupted our Muslims. They are overwhelmed with the free products they get by answering questions right, and no doubt the prospect of Ramadan would be welcomed only for hoarding things instead of learning something worth in the future. In short, the urge to know more, to learn about Islam in-depth would soon vanish and the greed to win worldly materials would be more favored. Who doesn’t know the first battle of Islam, anyway? It was really disturbing to see our elder citizens not knowing the quantity of Muslims in Badr, but insistent on winning a motorbike all the same. The crowds in religious forum where the highest scholars are in front of their eyes are ironically silent, but when the time to get materials comes, the mass is on their feet. What does that represent to the outside world? Needless to state, it easily screams that Muslims today are focused soul and mind towards the world and its luxury, instead of calmly sitting down and learning, and getting problems solved.

Coming back to our beloved hosts, they have the sole responsibility of organizing the excited crowd, and of representing a good Muslim for not only the people there to learn from, but for our the outside world to see, as well. They address the women without respect, and they humiliate the one standing to answer their question. It is saddening to watch our public fighting off each other to win something worth ten thousand. It is remorseful to see the people forgetting Islamic manners and their own self-esteem just to get a cash prize. It is even more infuriating to watch our own fellows enjoy the upper hand they have over the crowd, and provoke them to their extreme with a mere expensive product. What is all this? Why are these shows playing with their feelings? Why humiliate them without any brotherhood sentiments?

If I say that the embarrassment aside, it is a good platform to help the needy and lend a hand in a poor’s distress, then I admit it indeed is. They needy get their hardships solved out; unless all the helping calls and offers from institutions are a hollow shame, but I doubt we Muslims could stop that.

Nonetheless, it does not solve the blatant insult of the Pakistani public. If these shows really are sincere in spreading happiness among people, then I say the particular segment should not be broadcasted live. To help Muslims, solving their misunderstanding and making them learn more about Islam and the duties entrusted to them through Islamic scholars is the best way. The idea of giving worldly possessions without cost would inevitably arouse love for the world, and the extremist urge to gain it all, and this is not what Islam teaches. Many objectives are fulfilled behind all these Ramadan transmission, one of which includes corrupting Muslims. We need our Muslim nation full of knowledge and weapon of Islamic education to hunt the enemies down, not a car or a fifty thousand watch, which is all temporary. If I could make my message reach across, I’d say kindly stop making fun of the Pakistani public, and arousing their love for the world. If anything, award them with a book of Qurani Duas ”prayers” that would help them in hereafter. I found a beautiful Hadith that sums up what this article was about:

“Whoever seeks knowledge that should be sought seeking the Face of Allah, but he only seeks it for the sake of some worldly gain, he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.” (Hasan) [The Book of Knowledge: Sunan Abu Dawud]

When will things get back to normal in Egypt?

on

Egypt remains closed in an extended procedure of political move after the renunciation of the long-serving President Hosni Mubarak in February 2011. The nation is profoundly partitioned between Islamist and mainstream clusters, while the Egyptian military remains the nation’s top political intermediary and power center.

The effects of the first independent elections held in 2011/12, won overwhelmingly by Islamists, were invalidated, leaving Egypt with no elected state systems. Egypt’s first justly chose parliament in decades was broken down in June 2012. The Muslim Brotherhood applicant Mohammed Morsi won the presidential elections in mid-2012; however, he was removed a year later through a blend of mass against government rule and a military coup. This legitimate vacuum has made a political tug-of-war between the military, the courts, and portions of political groups struggling for power.

Political questionable matter and strain over what’s to come have produced continuous political challenge, worker strikes, profound doubt between Islamists and mainstream parties, and Muslim-Christian unrest in a few parts of the state. Brutality and criminal happenings have been on the ascent in the badly policed Sinai Peninsula, where activist Islamist groups go up assaults on security personals.

The military has established an interim government that will lead the procedure of drafting another constitution and arranging for crisp elections. Elections are likely to be scheduled in the first quarter of 2014; however, the scenario is exceptionally capricious. With no constitution and no parliament, there’s no accord on the basics of the running of government.

The Muslim Brotherhood has criticized Morsi’s oust as an overthrow, and rejected to accept the new administration. Secular parties have supported the military, and are insisting on an auspicious move once again to non-military person rule, yet they are likewise with differences within and have no common goals. The military fear that, the revolutionary youth bunches – which has lead the pro-democracy protests in 2011 may use their power to reinstall the Morsi government back in power again to protect the benefits of the uprising of 2011.

The following options are there with the Egyptian Military:

• Stop the discretionary captures of the Muslim Brotherhood or any aggregations or individuals for political restriction. Additionally, stoppage of the crackdown on media in all shapes.

• To write another constitution through a process that incorporates all major stakeholders in Egypt.

• The timetable of parliamentary and presidential elections in which everybody can partake, incorporating and including the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egypt’s provisional authority laid out a quick track timetable to choose another president and parliament by one year from now, in an attempt that could reduce Western worries about what’s to come for vote based system in the Arab countries.

Under the arrangement advance by the interval president late Monday, two boards might be delegated to make corrections to the Islamist-sponsored constitution passed under Morsi’s rule. Those progressions might be put to a submission not more than four and half months. Parliamentary elections might be held in two months after that, and once the new parliament assembles it might have a week to give a timeframe for the election of President.

The situation is still uncertain and the new rulers are unable to give a certain solution to the situation. On the other hand, protests and clashes are ongoing throughout the country. In these situations, one can only hope and pray for a better solution with fewer clashes and fewer casualties and more importantly that is acceptable for all parties including the Muslim Brotherhood.

What can we do to stop religious discrimination at workplace?

on

There are many ways by which religious discrimination at workplace can be avoided. Few of them are as below:

•Employers should develop internal procedures for processing the religious accommodation requests.
•Employers should provide training to the supervisors and managers on how to recognize the requests of religious accommodation from the employees.
•Employers should reduce the risk of religious discrimination by careful recording of the accurate business reasons for the performance related or disciplinary actions and sharing all these reasons with the affected employees.
•It is the employer’s duty to reduce the risk of discrimination in the employment decisions by establishing the written objectives for the candidate’s promotion or hire and making use of those criteria’s to all the candidates simultaneously.
•While conducting the interviews, the employers can ask the same questions to all the applicants for that particular job category, hence ensuring a non discriminatory treatment.
•Employers should inform their employees that they are making reasonable efforts in order to accommodate the employee’s religious practices.
•Also, once the employer notices an employee objecting to the religious conduct that has been directed at him, it becomes the employer’s duty to take steps to end that conduct. This is because even if there is a conduct that the employer does not think of abusive can later become pervasive or severe and can affect the employment conditions.
•If the harassment is by a non employee that has been assigned by a supervisor or a contractor, the individual of the chain of command should initiate a meeting for the harassment and should demand to make it stop, and ask the contractor to assign a different individual.
•If an employer faces customer bias like an adverse reaction to that of being served from an employee due to the religious issues, it becomes the duty of the employer to educate its customers about their misconception and also about equal employment laws.
•Employers need to allow religious expression among all the employees to the same level as they allow the other personal expression that is not disruptive or harassing.
•Even if the supervisors are allowed to engage in the certain religious expression, they should try and avoid the expression that might be taken by the subordinates as coercive due to their supervisory authority.
•Employees that receive the unwelcome religious conduct should ask the individual engaging in the conduct to stop it. If still it does not stop, they should report it to their supervisor or the appropriate authorities according to the anti-harassment policy of the company.
•In order to prevent the conflicts, employers should intervene immediately as they become aware of insulting conduct or objectively abusive conduct.
•Employers need to encourage their managers to discuss with their subordinates and intervene pro-actively whether a particular religious expression is welcome or not.
•Employees who are not willing to directly ask the individual who is directing an anti religious conduct towards them, they should report the conduct to their supervisor or the appropriate official according to the anti harassment policy.

on

on Sunday, July 28, 2013

Precious Ramadan and Delicious Iftar

on

Ramadan is the holy month in Muslim calendar and is celebrated with real zeal and zenith. This month is specified for fasting in which there are only two meals in the day. The meal which is taken at early morning before dawn is called “Sehri” and the meal, which is taken at the time of ending the fasting day at sun set is called “Iftar”.

Ramadan is also characterized by the various types of foods and dishes which are prepared for the Sehri and Iftar. In Pakistan, there is a variety of dishes which are especially made for the iftar parties and dinner in the Ramadan. There are two different categories of the iftar i.e. one is at the time of Iftar and other is for dinner after offering the evening prayer.

For Iftar, the most important are the drinks. Among the drinks there are many types of drinks made at the time of iftar to quench the thrust of all day long. In Pakistan, the nature of drinks made is different in the different cultural areas. For instance, in most of the villages of Pakistan, ”lassi” drink is used at the time of iftar. Lassi can be saltish or sweet. Lassi is also an integral part of Sehri in the rural areas of Pakistan as it is said that after Lassi drink made by plain yogurt there is sufficient decrease in the intensity of thrust all day till Iftar. Moreover, the most famous drink in Iftar is lemon drink which is a mixture of lemon, sugar, chilled water and salt in trace amount. It is believed to restore the loss of minerals in the hot summer. The lemon drink can be added with some colored substances like the famous Jam-e-Shereen, which can also be served alone without lemon in it. Some people are used to taking the drink of milk plus soda which is especially known to quench the thrust and to restore the energy level of fasting people. In Iftar parties, various types of dates are served to end the fasting. The Iftar in Pakistan is incomplete without the most famous dish of Pakoras and Samosas, which after dates have become an integral part of Iftar. The conventional dish of Dahi Ballay and fruit chart are also a part of Iftar. In sweets, Jaleebi, Gulab jaman and Ras Malai are the favorite dishes.

Then at dinner, various dishes of meat and vegetables are also prepared. At dinner, the chicken and mutton qorma, marine and river water fish, chicken baryani, chicken haleem, siri paye, rice, jalfareezi are famous. In vegetables, okra, cucurbits, potato dishes and some pulses are also of high traditional value. The vegetables mixed with chicken, beef and mutton are also popular.

Ex-President Morsi was detained for ‘Spying for Hamas’

on

As to the Mena State News Agency, Deposed President Mohamed Morsi is being detained for 15 days pending investigations on charges of spying for Hamas and breaking into prisons during the 18 day revolt that toppled Hosni Mubarak.

Also Al Jazeera source in the prosecution confirmed this report on Friday (26.07.2013).

Judge Hassan Sammir, the judge who is investigating the charges, made the decision, which marks this first official detention by authorities.

Last month, an Egyptian court said the Muslim Brotherhood conspired with Hamas to storm the Wadi el-Natroun prison in 2011 and set free 34 high-level Brotherhood members, including the previous Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. (Report 01)

It should be noted that this report (Report 01) came as supporters and opponents of Morsi prepared for mass national protests called for by the country’s army chief, and later by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, in a struggle over the country’s future.

Morsi is currently being detained at an unknown location. Releasing a statement, United Nations Secretary Ban Ki Moon calls for the release of Ex-President Morsi and to go for talks over the country’s future.

According to Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood party, the court claims that Mubarak’s old regime was “back in full force” in Egypt. Certainly this report, which was confirmed on the 26th of July, 2013 has been released at a time where Pro Morsi rally and Anti coup/ Pro Democratic rally are at a full force.

Addressing to AFP Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad told “The accusations read as if they’re a retaliation from the old regime, signalling ‘We’re back in full force,”.

Further things should be noted that, this certain report has been produced for courts while, coup has loosing it’s power over ruling and failing to control the mass rally in favor to ousted President Mohammed Morsi.

Also many prominent political analysts and scholars predict that Ex President Morsi will return to charge beating all coup’s plans and schedules if the struggle lies same. At a time like that, this detainment is expected to increase struggle and violence between anti and pro democrats.

Moreover, it is very clear the government after the coup will do anything with the presence of west and other favorable agents to keep them in charge which itself a track to detain Islamist.

Many fear that the situation would lead to a civil war with in the country.

A Grave Mistake by the Indian Army

on

The Indian Army has 1900 air-crafts, 620 helicopters, 1.3 million personals and with a military budget of 44.3 billion USD. It is considered to be the second largest army in terms of the number of soldiers and is one of the largest buyers of weaponry from around the world including U.S and Israel. Besides the strength and money, a very strange thing happened during the last six months. The Indian army mistakenly spent six months watching the violation of ‘’Chinese spy Drones”, however in fact they were the Venus and the Jupiter. This story has been published by the Kolkata based Telegraph, Tribune and BBC websites during 24th and 25th July 2013.

Strains have been high in the Himalayan far-flung region between the two countries lately, with India often blaming its neighbor for violating onto its domain. Things reached a crucial stage throughout a stand-off in April when Chinese troops were blamed for raising a camp on the Indian side of the absolute edge regarded as the Line of Actual Control (LAC). By that stage, Indian troops had recently recorded 329 sightings of unidentified complaints around a lake area in Ladakh, during August and February, Telegraph, a Kolkata based paper reports.

The military sources said that they spotted the two objects 155 times and then they sought help from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics to recognize them. The experts observed the objects for some time and declared that the objects were actually Venus and Jupiter. “Our duty was to figure out if these unidentified things were heavenly or physical,” astrochemist Tushar Prabhu told the paper.

The Indian Army mixed up Jupiter and Venus as unidentified flying interlopers making nighttime forays from China into the skies above eastern Ladakh for in excess of six months until cosmologists carried their reasons for the alarm to ground, it has been uncovered.

Sources told The Telegraph that the army staff had until February 2013 archived 329 sightings of the unidentified questions seen over Thakung close Pangong Tso, a high-elevation lake imparted by India and Tibet.

The items were discerned to have maltreated the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that India imparts to China 155 times. The astrochemists were told that the first item, was seen from an area around the range of 4,715 metres above sea level close Thakung, showed up in the skyline at in the ballpark of 6pm and remained obvious until around the range of 5am. The second item showed up at 4am and blurred away at 11am.

The sightings developed in the company of what defence experts say are stewing concerns inside the Indian Army about cross-fringe transgressions and the utilization of drones by the Chinese to investigate Indian region.

The IIAP works the planet’s most astounding telescope at Hanle, Ladakh, in the vicinity of 150km south of the area where the sightings were accounted for.

Army spear naik Sheminderpal Singh —a general spectator at Point 4715 —told the astronomers that he had recognized a postponement of four minutes in the presence of one of the objects every sequential day. Singh likewise let them know that the item appeared to be the brightest light in the sky and dependably seemed to move regarding the stars.

The IIAP group advised the Indian Army to utilize an instrument called a theodolite to record the flat plot and vertical height of the two things. Army staff performed these insights between February 17 and 22 and submitted the information to the IIAP.

The astrochemists have acknowledged that the object watched from Point 4715 is Jupiter as the perceptions correspond with the planet’s diurnal movement and the evident movement of the item because of the axis of the Earth.

The portrayal of the second unidentified question that seemed promptly in the morning recommends that it is Venus, which is presently moving behind the Sun and will in the months ahead show up as a nighttime object.

The IIAP group said stars and planets over the skyline in Ladakh show up extremely shining in light of expanded air transparency at the high elevation and both Jupiter and Venus around then were the brightest planets in the sky. So no one is to blamed.

Ramadhan

on

The ninth holy month of the Islamic calendar is Ramadan in which all Muslims have to fast for the whole month. From sunrise to dusk, Muslims withhold from food, drink, and other awful habits.

With regard to teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during this holy month, Muslims are required to frequently recite the Holy Qur’an and perform more worship than in other Islamic months. Furthermore, Muslims are required to pay Zakaat for the whole year, and there is more and more charity for the poor and needy people in this month. The importance of this holy month is highlighted from the sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) narrated through several companions and also other saints.

As in Bukhari and Muslim, Abu Hurairah (Rehmatullah Allaih) mentioned that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: In Ramadan, the Gates of Heaven are open, and the Gates of Hell are shut, and the devils are put behind bars”.

In another report, the “Gates of Mercy” are mentioned in place of the “Gates of Heaven”. This saying represents that from the God’s side most of the arrangements are done for the Muslims so they could perform their worship and good deeds to get the eternal reward in Heaven. Moreover, One of the famous saints Shah Wali-ullah also mentioned that in this month, Muslims recite the Holy Qur’an and perform Taraweeh prayers. With more and more prayers and worships, Muslims get the happiness of God and they purify their hearts with the eternal light of faith. Additionally, performance of mystical deeds by the Muslims and the continuation of good deeds from generation to generations is continued in this month of Ramadhan.

The barakat, significance and the impact of the more and more worship performed Ramadhan even continues for the whole year. This also reveals that to keep oneself away from sins is not a big deal in the month of Ramadhan because one of the cruel things, which divert the Muslims attention from good deeds to bad deeds, is Shayateen is behind bars for the whole month. What is most important about this month is the efficacy of our body to control the physical as well as other desires thus our self control stimulates.

The basic aim of this holy month of Ramadhan is to take away Muslims from those sins and evil deeds which he had performed during the whole year and to engage Muslims in worship and perform good deeds. This month is considered as a blessing form God for the Muslims when they practice being away from cruel and bad habits and desires as well as those deeds which are not allowed in Islam.

Has Obama Administration Failed to Safeguard Muslims?

on

Obama has promised to stand with the Muslim Americans, in case the political winds take any ugly direction. He also mentioned that they can absorb a terrorist attack. The negative implication of Obama’s time will be felt for many years. He does not understand the exceptional-ism of America and promises to support the Muslims and has been unable to keep America safe from the Islamic terror at both abroad and home. Obama’s policies of political correctness, willful ignorance to the threat to the West leading from behind, government dependency and appeasement might lead to future terrorism.

The Islamist ideology hasn’t been created by Obama that has been fed on the fervour of today’s terrorism. Obama made it very clear that he doesn’t believe that terrorism is a threat to the safety and to the lives of the Americans. He does not believe in using the terms Islamic fundamentalism and War on Terror which makes it clear, that either he believes that evil does not exist or may be evil will go away. But America needs someone who has the understanding of Islamic Jihad- the fundamentalist, totalitarian dogma that pushes the violence started by those who have started a war on the West side. Obama hasn’t yet given an indication whether he understands these threats or if he is capable of, interested in, protecting the Americans from them.

Securing the borders of America for national security purposes has taken a back seat because of Obama’s demonization and politicking of the GOP as the anti-immigrant. Obama has been seen befriending the Muslims and demonizing those who recognize them. All Muslims are not terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslims and radical Islam is a dangerous threat that is clear and present in the country. The president has been really worried about offending the non-jihadist Muslims that he has taken the ideology out of the enemy, which in a nutshell is considering the enemy is a violent ideology.

The statement of the administration, that the Muslim Brotherhood is characterized as the administrations cluelessness. They believe in Allah. Prophet is their leader. Koran is their law. Jihad is their way. Dying for them is their highest hope. The ability to differentiate between what is wrong Islam and what is right Islam has handicapped the attempts of making differentiations between a sensible fear of revolutionary Islamism and Islam phobia.

Under the influence of Obama’s administration, the U.S. policy has taken a drastic shift to the support of the movements of these Jihadists. Obama’s Justice Department dropped the charges that were against the co-conspirators ISNA, CAIR, and other MB- affiliated organizations in the terror funding trial. The MB also powered when in Egypt Mubarak was thrown under the proverbial bust in spite of having a long history of peaceful alliance between Israel, America and Egypt. There are numerous Muslims who are working in the White House and are already holding their prayers there. It is essential for the president to understand that if tolerance becomes a one way street, it might lead to a cultural suicide.

Deaths Among Children – Watch out for Blue Drums!

on

Have you ever looked around while on a highway and caught a glance of huge trucks loaded with eerie-looking, strange blue drums? Or have you seen them in any shop if you go to buy a cold drink or water?

At least I have, and the revelation of its fact is very surprising. Yes, there are special blue-colored drums which are used to store water or beverages by the shopkeeper in our country. The drums are critically bad for our health, as you would have figured out that much already. Actually, these drums are used to import chemicals to different, far away countries. Once they are emptied from the chemicals, the owner sells them in the market, and as expected, these are bought by some hooded buyers who then use the drums to store their liquid material. Without sterilizing. Without washing the nooks.

Of course, the government of Pakistan has strictly forbidden the use of the blue vessels, and has passed out statements to soothe the population that they are effectively supervised. Nonetheless, the drums are seen by many in shops by the majority of the population already, and the buyers have continued to make use of them without so much fear of being arrested. And neither anyone answers them about the open violation of government rules. As said, it takes two to tango.

Given the above, these drums painted with annoying blue color are currently used to store milk. Milk! Yes, the shopkeeper stores the milk in the drums, wraps it in plastic, and it is ready to be sold for tiny two years old. Milk is an essential food for children, and is consumed by them more than anyone else. We all know the immunity system of a child is in the process of maturing. With their defense system weak to fight hundreds of diseases in the environment they live, the issue crowned with consuming milk that comes from unsterilized, unfiltered blue vessels is a deliberate opening for their deaths. Children are already vulnerable to diseases, and no doubt the life expectancy in Pakistan has always deteriorated. Doctors have strictly banned using milk that comes from these drums or any other storing vessels to the parents. Not only milk, but beverages that are used to add in food items come straight from these blue drums, and the chemicals lingering in as mentioned in the start get mixed with it, resulting in being there in a food item that is proven to be too dangerous for human consumption, since death reports in this case would not be a surprising incident.

The particular diseases reported with using such stored water are infection in intestines and stomach. The problem with us is that we tend to take actions at the last hour. We take precautionary measures when there is already a news headline stating the death toll from the said consumption of milk and water. What’s the use of taking preventive and protecting measures after losing several young, adult fellow citizens?

It’s time to strictly appeal from the health inspectors, the institutions and the authorities appointing laws, and most importantly the government to turn an eye to this matter as well, before it’s too late. It’s the sole responsibility of the government to look after its people, but it is also the responsibility of the people to pass their appeals on an issue they, ironically, might have overlooked. It’s the matter of life and death, and for that, we ourselves are responsible.

Here’s the big question: How can you both; reach the government, and stop the use of these drums? Think of the possible ways soon!

Is there any loophole in sharia law?

on

Sharia law deals with everything related to crime, politics and economics in Islam. It is the law of Islam set by Allah. It also deals with some kinds of personal issues like hygiene, sexual intercourse, diet, fasting and many more.

Islam is a religion of nature. It is not the religion of certain features and rivals. In this religion sharia law is applied which gives instructions to lead this life in accordance with nature but it has not given unlimited freedom to man.  It keeps the demands, needs and necessities of a man under limits. Sharia law provides a complete system and code of life for its followers.

Sharia law has given a lot of importance to the basic unit that is an individual. He is given different rights, and many duties are imposed on them. He is given those rights which were not given to him in the past and no system or law will give him in the future. These rights are given to mankind by Allah and are guaranteed by the Holy Quran and Sunnah. No one can decrease, snatch or cancel these rights.

Rights of a citizen in Sharia law are divided into three categories:

  1. 1.      Social Rights
  2. 2.      Economic Rights
  3. 3.      Political Rights

Social Rights:

  1. Every citizen has the right to live. His life is precious and respectable.
  2. Every citizen has the right for equal respect and honor.
  3. Every citizen has the right of social freedom. No restriction can be imposed on his movements, his sittings and his meetings with other people in the society.
  4. All citizens are equal. No one has superiority over others on the account of race, color, caste, wealth or language except on righteousness and honesty.
  5. Every citizen has the freedom of speech, conscience and believes.
  6. Every citizen has the right to marry and to keep his family.
  7. Every citizen has the right of education and social security.
  8. Every citizen has the right of justice and equity.
  9. Every citizen has the right to protect his honor and property.

  4. Every citizen has the right to criticize the government officials about their duties.

The attitude of the Chinese towards Muslims and Pakistan

on

We listen and watch on TV channels that Pakistan has a close relationship with China. If you remember, the first TV channel of Pakistan that is PTV used to broadcast a song named ”Pak Chin Dosti…”. It was made to strengthen the relationship of China and Pakistan. If we look the Chinese relation with other countries, we can easily find that China has strong relations with Muslim countries.

Pak China relations were developed when Pakistan recognized PRC in 1950. As everyone knows that the relation between China and Pakistan are brotherly. Both countries try to stand along with each other in the time of need. From 1950 until now, different conferences and meetings took place and many agreements were signed between the two neighboring countries. In 1950, the basic diplomatic relation was initiated between China and Pakistan. In the beginning of 1966, the military assistance was commenced. In early 1972, strategic alliance was created and at the end in 1979 the economic co-operation was created. China emerged to be the largest trading power in Pakistan. Pakistan is like a bridge for strengthening relations of the Muslim countries with China. Pakistan also opened the path between US and China in 1972.

It is observed that China has good relations with other Muslim countries. In China, Islam is also followed by different groups like Uyghur. China relies on Pakistan due to many strategic mutual benefits. Pakistan has much stronger army than China and both countries have agreed to share their armed strength.

China has also a good relation with Iran. Mutual relationship between China and Iran started in 1950. The relations between China and Iran were based on economic, political and social assistance. In 1979, Iran and China became strongly tied with each other when the post revolutionary Islamic Republic of Iran took place. China does most of the oil trading with Iran. It is observed that in 2011, China had up to 80% oil trading with Iran. Not only oil trading, Iran and China exchange different products with each other.

China has strong relations with Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Gulf nations. It is reported recently, Uighur people in China are facing many difficulties in practicing Islam. They are a minority and the majority is non Muslims. They are disturbing Muslims too much. The Government of China is not paying attention towards the rights of Muslims. There are different countries that have strong relations with China, but they are quiet on these humiliating events. It is very bad to know that Muslim countries are not standing for the rights of China Uighur Muslims rights except few.

Due to the terrorist attacks, Al Qaida had threatened China. Some Muslim countries assure that if this issue is not resolved then it will surely harm the relations of China with the Muslim world.

on Friday, July 26, 2013

How Muslims Rights can be safeguarded in United States

on

Before knowing how to safeguard the rights of Muslims in the US, we need to know what rights we have as a US citizen. As a US citizen, a person has the freedom of expression, worship, prompt fair trial by jury, right to vote, apply for federal employment, run for elected office and freedom to pursue “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are the shared rights of all the US citizens. Moreover, the American government says that they are a nation that is not bound by race or religion, but by the shared values of freedom, liberty, and equality.

The country’s biggest Muslim common liberties and assistance institutions today urge the Americans who are worried about balance under the law to contact their congressional senators and request that they drop a way out from the U.S.-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2013 that might make American Muslims and Arab-Americans ” second class citizens ” who could legitimately be liable to Israel’s strategy of ethnic and religious profiling.

Religious opportunity is one of America’s generally principal freedoms, and a focal standard upon which this country was established. Lamentably, however, all through America’s history, very nearly each religious mass was the focus of segregation at one time or a different one. Tolerance and decency have for the most part predominated; however just after principled voices have surpassed bias and contempt.

Generally as of late, Muslim groups in the U.S. have confronted an aggravating wave of dogmatism and by and large threat. From religiously roused segregation and ambushes on existing and proposed Islamic focuses to confused congressional hearings, Muslims in America are almost always unjustifiably focused on essentially for practicing their fundamental sacred right to religious freedom.

We should dependably —particularly in times of quarrel —vigilantly uphold our center qualities. At the time we defile one gathering’s opportunity, every living soul’s freedom is at stake. Furthermore, the people from Muslim community should press on to safeguard the basic equality of every living soul in our nation.

A portion of the issues need in particular keeping tabs on incorporate, bans on Sharia and International law, mosques and group focuses, Park51 Islamic Cultural Center in New York City, discrimination dependent upon manifestation, discrimination against Muslim ladies, infiltration and observation of Mosques and Muslim neighborhoods, congressional hearings on the supposed “radicalization” of the American Muslim neighborhood, unconstitutional government of the “No Fly List”, FBI mapping of nearby neighborhoods and organizations dependent upon race and ethnicity and anti-terrorism financing laws .

Muslims today are profiled at airports and at first place treated as terrorists, though the trend is on a decline. Islamophobia has become an integral part of the society and at government level there are established funds to spy on Muslims. This condition needs to be improved, but no one is going to make it better unless the Muslim citizens themselves wake up for it. They have to be united and make a pressure group to press on their respective representative to propose new laws and policies that are pro Muslims. They have to struggle for their religious and economic freedom. This is the only way they can safeguard their rights in America.
