Was the Bible Changed over Time?

on Thursday, May 23, 2013

Do you agree with the following opinion?

A number of changes were made in the text of the bible since the very beginning. These changes were not only made by the copyists, but also a number of other people have contributed in the changes. These changes were made in the existing material and new verses were added, and some of the old material were deleted.

Christians were very prompt in making the changes in the text of the bible. The verses and sayings which they did not like, or thought was against what they wanted, were changed. The bible is not even available in its original form. If you purchase a copy of the bible from one corner of the world and one from another then there is no guarantee that both will be the same. All the Holy books that were present before the Holy Quran are not found in the original form. Moreover, the nations over which these Books were made don’t even exist.

On the other hand, when it comes to the Holy Quran, it is available in its original form. No one has ever dared to amend this Holy Book and no one ever can because Allah has taken the responsibility of protecting Quran Himself. There is no one in this world that has ever been successful in amending it and no one can either. Besides, if the old books were present in their original form, why would there be a need for the Holy Quran.

A number of bibles exist from the time of the Roman Empire. Many of the Christian emperors themselves have asked to amend the bible. How can one possibly trust the words written in this Book? Some of the canons of the bible were even lost in the ancient time. Only small portions of the cannons were found. People thus found a great chance to make their own bible by including self-made cannons.

The early Christian had hundreds of manuscripts that conflict each other. When all these conflicting manuscripts would be combined then it can be well imaged whether the bible created will be in its original form or not. Historians have frequently made changes in the book just for their own sake. They wanted to make the bible according to their own rules, and thus included whatever they think was right.

They followed their own souls’ desire, and that’s why they have made changes in the bible. The verses written in the bible and that in the Holy Quran strongly differ from each other. The bible now appears to be a very human book. Human authors had added new text at different times and different places for addressing different needs. Many of the saints have added their own solutions.
