If I define Islam in simple words, which can be easily understood by the western countries. I will say that Islam is the new and improved version of Christianity. Yes, the difference between Islam and Christianity is not much big. It is very significant and clear that almost all western countries follow the religion which is revealed by holy Jesus. Muslims believe in Jesus Christ, and that the book which was sent upon him, is the book of Allah. Still there is a difference between Muslims and Christians.
Muslims believe that Holy Jesus was a prophet of Allah. They believe that Allah sent Him for the welfare and for the sake of human beings. As Allah have reveled 4 holy books and one of them was sent upon Holy Jesus, but after the evolutions many aspects of life were altered, and this world changed, and people who were devoted towards the religion of Christianity were ordered to embrace Islam but they denied. As Muslims, we are not allowed to follow the Christian values, but yes we should know the past and history of Christians.
That is the whole story that tells what is the internal link between Muslims and Christians or what you can say is the religious connection and relation of Islam and the western countries.
Concluding that since Jesus was a prophet of Allah, so Muslims are allowed to celebrate Christmas, is a totally wrong believe as Christmas is celebrated according to the view that Jesus is the son of Allah who was born on the 25th of December, and for this they celebrate Christmas. Yes, many Muslims and Muslims countries are now following the trends and culture of the western countries or in Christian societies. This is because of the new technology and development occurred in the West.
They have now totally changed their traditions cultures and perspectives. They are now recognized as developed countries and developed nations who want to remain superior and unique. For this, Muslims adopt different cultural values aiming for development.
It is a very common and natural phenomenon that the person who gets anything useful and helpful becomes powerful and stands as a superior person. He not only inspires others but also urges others to wish that they can be like him. Same situation occurrs here as Muslims were the most powerful and literate nation, but as time passes, they became lower to the context, and the western countries took over their charge. By adopting the same techniques and skills, the western countries and Christian societies made themselves remarkable.
There is no connection or hidden truth about the relation between the West and Islam. The Muslim nation has everything needed to progress, but they are following the West, because it is regarded as the most developed, powerful and superior West. It is not about Muslims, but every nation is following the westerns as they have all the facilities and technologies which can make the survival of a man easy. Now, People send their children to the West so that they can gain knowledge and seek the same information which is being delivered there. Also, the degrees issued by any western country are highly recognized in Muslim countries.
