Richard Dawkins, ‘Irrational fear about Islam and the non-believers’

on Thursday, May 16, 2013

Sam Harris is like Galen Greenwald, both of them have came up with words that were exchanged by them after extensive reading. They are words that should be condemned. Harris made a blunder by making such a display. Recently Harris made an attempt in “recent volley against Greenwald” in which he tried to manipulate the idea and the concept of Islam.

While defining Islam, Greenwald mentioned three points that are irrational, disappropriate and unjustified about Muslims. The only way with which Muslims can be called as a group is the doctrine of Islam. Few things that have been mentioned by Greenwald does not relate to the actual concept of Islam.

Muslims are not united at all according to Harris. But barely a year ago same person wrote an opposite comment about the Muslims in an article “In Defense Of Profiling”.

An update to the post was made by the author in which his response was given for the criticism. He wrote further “With different prospects of one life, one cannot get an idea about the person’s belief”.

It’s quite easy for me to absorb the consequences after this as it was given coverage by many others. Harris made a kind of statements in which there was a contradiction with his previous statements.

From the article written, it can be assumed that Harris is very much confused about the concept of Muslims and Islam particularly. According to the survey in America, the American Muslims are most cultured groups in America. On the other hand, most of the writer like Oliver Kamm who pointed out that it is ridiculous and disappointing to cover the religion like this. What Harris did can be extremely disturbing for the society. Such kind of opinions cannot distinguish between Muslims and other terrorist organizations.

There should be a clear line between the criticism of Islam and Muslims. Both writers, Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins clearly confused that line. I condemn the way the writers were writing about the concept of Islam. Those people who strictly follow the teachings of Islam are the people whom these writers want us to believe that they don’t have so much commitment in the teachings of Islam.

Answers on a postcard, please.

Socialized webpages were never a good platform for Dawkin as he declared the comments publicly. The deleted tweet may be the result of a slip of the mouse.

Nathan leans who mentioned in his comment few weeks back that what Dawkins has been writing in his articles is basically being called as doing flirt. Harris has repeatedly tried to co-relate the concept of extremism with the Muslims.

This is called stupidity as I feel such a kind of concepts is misleading. Both men are at risk of being lost in a culture of delusion. Criticizing any religion can be very devastating, but if there is a sensible debate to be made that can result in many positive outcomes.
