Gay Time For Francians- President Signs Law On Same Sex Marriage!

on Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Going to the streets, homophobic attacks, transgender taboos and some apt signs of over jealous foolishness. These are some of the typical gestures of gays and transgender. As a matter of fact, the society considers it a great deal of taboo, but this aspect has left many fingers crossed. But wait a minute. This aspect is no more a taboo as far as society is concerned. This is because Francois Hollande, the French president has now signed the law giving green license to legalize marriages among the same sex. Not to be outdone, it needs mentioning that this move is a potential aftermath of a whole great deal of slanging matches and gay attacks.

As a matter of fact, it needs mentioning that the legal move has aptly made France as the world’s 14th country to legalize marriage among the same sexes. It makes France the 9th country in Europe to pass law relating to same sex. Relating to the context governing the same sex legal law, an official French journal aptly declares the move is a potential aftermath of a challenge of the right-wing opposition being rejected by the Constitutional Council. However, Reuters reported that the first marriage concerning same sexes is due to be held on the 29th of May at Montpellier in France.

It needs mentioning in this regard that the scene governing these same sex legislation had seen a potential after a 3 decade long protests by the conservative and right-wing street protests taking it down to the streets. It is worth stating in this regard that the ruling socialist party headed by Francois Hollande has withered waves of social flagship changes by triggering the largest conservative civilian legal right by bringing it within an apt legal parlance. As a matter of fact, the law now envisages marriages governing same sexes and among transgender legally. This matter needs to be cherished to an all time new height in spite of a sea of protests and over 200 arrests.

Needless to say, the aspect of adoption of this law is quite controversial and has left many at the maze. But recent opinion polls suggest that same sex marriage were receiving apt public support from a major crunch of the nation.

On a lighter note, it needs to be mentioned that the law relating to same sex marriages was receiving a sea of family rights being not answered. A whole new paradigm shift was left unresolved and unanswered as far as the key family rights are concerned. One of the facts that need a due attention that the law relating to marriages among same sex will not grant rights relating to co-parenting among some civilian partnerships. Further to add salt to the scar, it does not allow medically assisted pro-creation or IVF among lesbian couples. This year, some campaigners have made it a point to address these issues in a law relating to families anytime this year.

The French Government has referred the matter concerning medical procreation to the ethics, and the parenting rights still remain divisive in political interests. There are other countries legalizing same sex marriages including Denmark, Sweden, Uruguay, New Zealand and Canada.
