Is Islam A Solution To All Evil?

Before Muhammad brought Islam to this world, it was a dark place. All the teachings of the previous prophets were forgotten and distorted. Islam came as the light for mankind. It brought brotherhood, compassion, mercy, morality and a good way of life. Islam is not just a religion, it does not mean praying 5 times a day or fasting during the month of Ramadan, Islam is a lot more than that.

Each and every matter of how the person should sleep, eat, work, behave, talk, and everything needed to live are included in Islam. There is no other religion in this world that is complete and comprehensive as Islam is in terms of covering all the details. Everything is found easily in the Quran or in the teachings of Muhammad. Islam is the solution to keep the evil away in all cases. All previous religions before Islam were also created by God for the same reason as Islam.

It would probably take a few books to cover this whole topic, but we can briefly look at some examples of what Islam teaches and how it provides a solution for life. Fourteen centuries ago, Islam banned alcohol at a time when the love of alcohol was second to none. As per Islam, alcohol is the root of all evils. This was realized by the US congress in 1917 when the 18th amendment was passed which prohibited alcohol. Millions were spent on this effort, but after 13 years the prohibition was repealed. Just in US today, the economic cost of alcohol usage is a quarter of a trillion dollars per year. Islam has ordered Muslims to stay away from alcohol to keep away from Evil.

Islam also has a mandatory obligation for all adult Muslims to pay Zakat. Zakat can be considered as a tax which is to be paid by wealthy people, and it is to be given to the poor. The criteria of who should give zakat and by what amount, and who receives zakat, is very strict and all Muslims are very strictly asked to make sure that they fulfill this obligation with utmost care. The purpose of this is to make sure that the poor are taken care of, and there are fewer crimes.

There are a lot of similar things which Islam provides. How should one behave with family, how should a husband and wife treat each other, how should a child be brought up, each and everything is explained in detail in Islam and if the Muslims follow it then they can stay away from problems and evil in this world very easily.
