Discover Islam, a Muslim Dawah organization based in Bahrain and Japan Islamic Trust (JIT) organized a workshop on “Awareness Thorough Mosque Tours” program. The keynote speaker of the workshop was Syed Ali from Bahrain. The event was co-hosted by Tokyo Gamii and Japan Islamic Trust (JIT).
The learened speaker fro Bahraion spoke extensively on how to conduct mosque tours for our not-yet-Muslim brethren. It covered the following topics in detail with case studies and group discussions.
- Basics op Dawah to non-Muslims
- The Concept of Awareness Through Mosque Tours
- Da’wah Approach and Methodology : The paradigm Shift
- Chronological study of the mosque tour: A Da’wah Perspective(Sandwich Technique)
- Techniques of answering questions
The speaker emphasized that according to his opinion, all religions including Christianity, Judaism, Buddissm, Hindusim and the like originated from the same source initially. However, as their teachings could not be recorded during the time of the prophets representing the various phases of the the same religion, the original message was greatly changed due to the historical distance between the prophet and their message. However, Islam, on the other hand, is the only religion whose teachings are still intact and encompass all aspects of a human being`s life.
By studying the teachings of various prophets it seems that the the basic message has always been the same in the Bible, Torah and the Quran, the book which was revealed to the last Messenger of Allah. So, we as tour guides have to make our respected guests to the mosques feel at home and communicate with the message of tranquality, compassion and equality of mankind
