Is there any Solution to the West and Islam Problems?

Before trying to discuss the solution of the problems that the Muslims have with west, it is better to discuss what those problems really are.

The issues that Muslims and the West have are not really severe issues- at least they are not issues as long as people don’t want to make them one. If both sides try to live peacefully without interfering in the matters of each other, things will keep working smoothly. But when there are billions of people on both sides, things don’t go as we want them to go.

If we try to figure out the differences between the way of Islam and the Western way, we might end up compiling a very long list. As a matter of fact, there are just a few similarities and the rest are all differences between when we compare Islam and the West. For example, the system of governance in Islam is Khilafat. In Khilafat, the rule of God is implemented in the country through the Khalifa and Khalifa is chosen by the people. Khilafat is all about the implementation of the rule of God. In contrast to this, the west has a system of democracy and that system focuses on the implementation of the rule of people. Now, this is an entirely different concept when compared to Khilafat.

Another example is that Muslims believe their lives are to be led by the rules of God and that no one has the authority to go against it. Whoever does so, will be punished. In the west, the concept is that every man is his own master.

But these differences mean nothing. The real trouble starts when one side tries to force its ideas on the other side. The colonization, the imperialism and other such acts of the west are the reasons why Muslims have problems with the west. The western people do not respect the ideals of the Muslims. Instead, they keep mocking what Muslims respect, and the worst thing is that even the governments remain silent over such issues like the burning of the holy books of Muslims. Muslims should respect the ideals of the followers of other religions, especially they respect Jesus (A.S) and Moses (A.S).

There may be other problems, but the root of the problems is that people just don’t try to understand that everyone is different from the other. Everybody has his own ideas and others are supposed to respect their ideas even if they don’t accept them. Sometimes, people need guidance to get to the right path, but it does not mean we should start mocking their ideas and ideals.

If the Western people really want a solution to the problems that they and the Muslims have then they should try to stop making fun of Muslims and Islam. The best solution to the problems is that we should understand and respect each other and instead of making fun of each other.
