Muslim Countries Worth Visiting

When majority of people are asked for their dream destination, rarely do you hear a Muslim bound country, apart from once in a while Mecca or UAE. Those willing to go to Mecca normally do that to explore their religion. There are a number of exotic Muslim countries that are worth visiting, some explored, and some are yet unexplored due to a number of reasons.

Pakistan has recently shown an improvement in the World Economic Forum’s Travel & Tourism competitive index 2013 report. This amidst some negative aspects that the news shows about it. Pakistan is a sovereign country in South Asia that boosts a rich and varied flora and fauna. It gives the adventurous soul a vast number of activities to engage in, from the white water rafting to the camel and yak safaris, from the trekking to the wild boar hunting, and from the bird watching to the trout fishing. A number of different activities are made available to cater for every taste.

Morocco is another Muslim country worth visiting.It is located in the northwestern corner of the African continent, and it has the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. Morocco has a lot to offer its potential visitors, including the sea, mountains, valleys and deserts for the nature lovers. They are able to hike in this beautiful nature, fish in the spectacular waters and take a desert safari. Morocco also boasts an extremely refined cuisine, due to the fact that it exchanged and interacted with other nations and cultures over the centuries.

Maldives is an island nation in the Indian ocean. It is the dream destination for honeymooners and divers. It is especially known for its dolphin displays and night fishing.

Turkey is another Muslim country worth visiting. It is located mainly on Anatolia in western Asia and on East Thrace in Southeastern Europe. Turkey is known for its Mediterranean warm beaches and skiing especially between April and October in its mountainous region.

In the Middle Eastern region, Qatar, Dubai and Oman are among the countries worth visiting, they offer a diverse Muslim culture in addition to incorporating a bit of the west to accommodate foreigners, especially Dubai, hence its being termed as one of the top tourist destinations.

Among the least visited Muslim countries, we find: Tajikistan, Mauritania, Turkmenistan, Comoros and Guinea Bissau. For one reason or the other, these countries are not visited, and some may even be unheard of by the larger population.

Tajikistan, which is a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia, offers a silk road history to its visitors, in addition to breathtaking mountain sceneries.

Mauritania is located in West Africa, and its main attraction are the dunescapes which don’t compare to any other on the planet.

Turkmenistan which is one of the Turkic states in Central Asia, has its perk in the wild outlandish beauty it offers its visitors, once they finally manage to get through to it. It also has black sand deserts and colorful canyons.
