Have you also forgotten that besides having a different faith we share the same race? Ya know, the Human one?

You didn’t…     Okay then..

What is Islamophobia?

In my opinion Islamophobia is when people are prejudice against Islam, or actually fear Muslims (hence the phobia). Basically they either hate us or are scared of us because they think we’re going to  kill them.

ohh ohh! Or maybe even a suicide bombing! Yeah, that’s what Muslim do isn’t it?!

Come on guys, get real.

Most people make up this thought in their head that Muslims are like this, without actually taking the time to talk to one, and see what Islam is REALLY about.

The majority of this way of thinking comes from the media. You hardly ever see a “good Muslim” on the news. Mostly all you ever see is people blowing each other up with fists in the air screaming  “Allahu Akbar”, and crazy stuff like that. You all know exactly what I’m talking about.

For some strange reason this is the image that is always showed through our Television screens.

This image is what has people thinking Muslims are other than what we are.

This Image, is what has destroyed comfort that American Muslims used to feel from Freedom of Religion.. It gets us thinking “oh, so I can be treated with respect only if I’m not Muslim?”

It might not be as bad as it used to be.. But I do get horrible looks whenever I go out in public. Even just to my local grocery store..

Guys, this is getting really old and I’m growing sick and tired of people judging me by what they think I am besides who I am.

Islamophobia in America is very present and very obvious. You can see it everywhere.
You see it on tv , online, Everywhere.

And quite frankly it hurts.. And it’s kind of disgusting.

Everyone in the world shares different beliefs and ideas. Yet, Muslims seem to be the main butt of everyone’s hatred.

I just want to live in a world where I can smile at a stranger and receive a smile back. Not a dirty look.

I’m an 18 year old female American Muslim..

I plan to have a husband and children sometime in the near future, and I don’t want my kids being ashamed of who they are because people treat them differently.

Kids have enough to deal with growing up already, with all the things things they get bullied for nowadays.

I don’t want one of the reasons to be because they’re Muslim.

My Islam, is about the Oneness of God and everything good for  our lives.
We live this life style of beauty and honesty, and mercy.

God tells us in the Qur’an that if we aren’t merciful to each other, how do we expect Him to be merciful to us?

So if that’s something we believe, then obviously being evil and murderers isn’t what we’re really about.

Not everyone is like this, obviously we have Muslim Academy , and all of  these wonderful  Non Muslims that are helping get the message out that Islam DOES NOT equal terrorism.
And I am more than happy about what’s going on with this beautiful site and with anyone out there who can just treat each other like human beings and not animals.

I just think if more people came together, we’d have more of an understanding of what Islam’s all about.

Islam is peace…

So wouldn’t it be ironic that  a religion that is about peace would spread corruption and killing?

Yeah, kinda.
