Afghanistan being a Muslim country is remains in turbulence from many years.  The young Afghani is stuck up with war and political instability. The American army on the name of peace, for their own people, killed thousands of innocent Muslims including children and women. Such situation leads to psychological issues in nations and need time to stabilize. But now the Afghan youngsters are changing.

According to the news agency the usage of modern technology is booming in Afghanistan.  There was banned on modern technology in Afghanistan and considering it as non-Islamic to use internet. In the last year’s Arab Spring was a wakeup call to all Muslim worlds to use the social media and realize its importance. It’s the best source of mass communication. According to Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in Afghanistan they would still ban the Internet if they were used for “un-Islamic” purpose. But now its usage is increasing as public relations tool.

Now the leadership regards social media as a useful way to communicate among Afghans and the foreigners. Therefore, the usage of face book is also increasing. Now they realizing it as a medium that helped them to get recognitions and spread their culture.

The role of social media in the Arab Spring convinced one seasoned Afghan figure, Abdul Rashid Dostum – a former warlord who now has an official Facebook and Twitter account — said his aide, Homayoon Haqbeen.

Till now very few people have excess to internet and computer but it increasing with much faster pace as they are realizing that social media is not something related to un Islamic as was considered in the pro Taliban era.

If talking about female exposure to internet in Afghanistan then its ratio is very low. There are internet cafes in Kabul, Afghan Capital but women not use it due to male harassment. There should be women access to the internet as well and they should also come to learn about it. The social media can play the major role in educating the people around the globe.
