What does Islam say about Education?

Getting the education is not only necessary for every person in this world, but also the right of every person in the world. Islam is that religion in the world that gives proper guidance for life to human beings and its followers.

Islam is the most reliable and sacred religion and also the religion that loves peace.You can get guidance from Islam regarding any matter of your lives. The knowledge and education that we get from Islam is unlimited. Almighty Allah revealed Quran on his Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) which is most blessed book by Allah. The Quran provides enhanced messages, leadership and uplifting for betterment of humanity. The achievement of right and proper path in life is probably impossible without the attainment of education.

The term education refers to the skill of setting the potentials of any person at its utmost use and benefits. You can never deny the significance of education in your life. It basically provides a right path to the thinking of people. A person lacking in education is incapable of thinking properly and appropriately. You learn about thinking and also making decisions about education. Apart from this, education also helps a man to become able for getting information through external world. Education on the whole opens the windows of wisdom for man who seeks education. This is the reason for which Islam pays so much emphasis on education and its importance. Islam emphasizes its followers to be very determined regarding the attainment of education.

The best example of education in Islam is the revelation of Quran by Allah towards the Holy Prophet (SAWW). This shows the importance and significance of education as well as knowledge in Islam. When we begin reading the Quran, the first word that we read is ‘Iqra’. The meaning of this word is to read. Thus, Allah Almighty says to his followers to read and get knowledge in the beginning of the Quran. Reading Quran daily and properly is the best way of getting knowledge or education. The Holy Quran has so much knowledge about every matter that it can educate any kind of person regarding any matter of life. A lot of messages are hidden in this book. It provides the best and finest system of education to its followers all over the world.

Islam and education are strongly related to each other. The Almighty Allah says in Quran that getting an education is an obligation for every muslin men and women. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) addressed to his followers and told them to get an education whether if they have to go to China for it. In Islam getting education is a religious obligation. At another place Holy Prophet (SAWW) said that you must look for knowledge from cradle to grave. The importance of education in Islam has forced the Muslims all over the world to get knowledge by any means. This education helps them to solve their worlds problems. Islamic education is also emphasized in the educational institutes to make students aware of correct values of Islam.
