Arab world, Jihadi Militants increasing.

on Thursday, October 18, 2012

It has been believed that in Arab world the Islamic militants are expanding so greatly that it may be a threat to the stability of the religion. Also, the democracies which are emerging may face much trouble in implementation of their agendas to bring across peace and stability amongst different groups of the people. Egypt’s Sinai desert to eastern Libya and the battlegrounds of Syria’s civil war, the prevalence of democracy is of greater importance. The Jihadi have implemented their agendas which make it difficult for democracies to function properly.

Since the Jihadi militants are on the verge of increase, it has made quite difficult for the western policy makers that they begin to implement policies into the Arab world. The Jihadi militants have block the easiness of the western policy makers to conduct their functionalities. Jihadi group believes that western group needs to implement their agendas to overtake the Arab world. The reason for the concerns would be the oil accomplishment from the region.

Many news Jihadi groups have been formed into the Arab world, these groups have surely got the ties with Al-Qaeda, and the reason for the rising militants is due to the local grievances. There must be meaningful ties with the Al-Qaeda organization to affect the U.S. functionality into the region. Of the recent incidents, the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya surely indicates that the Jihadi militants are rising in a fast manner. The attack on U.S. compound had killed its ambassador Christopher Steven and three other Americans on 11th Sept. although there was a protest advocating the vibe against the anti-Islamic film but many observers told that while there were protests going on in Libya, there had not been spotted nay demonstrators outside the U.S. consulate. This indicates the rise of the Jihadi militants who are maintaining their ties with al-Qaeda against U.S. functionality.

“The potential now for the globalization of these groups is there due to the fact that there is significant ideological similarity,” said Aaron Zelin, an expert on jihadist movements at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “The likelihood becomes greater if there is stigmatization of these groups as being part of al-Qaeda’s global jihad and if, in their own societies, they are pushed deeper into the fringes.” (WP Jihadi, 18)

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton explained her viewpoint against the emergence of Jihadi militants and their threats from such movements in an address Friday that outlined the challenges for U.S. policymakers in North Africa.

“A year of democratic transition was never going to drain away reservoirs of radicalism built up through decades of dictatorship,” she said in a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. “As we’ve learned from the beginning, there are extremists who seek to exploit periods of instability and hijack these democratic transitions.” (WP Jihadis,18)

Many experts believe that the Jihadi groups may be working closely with the free militants who are against Assad’s regime. The militants are increasing as they believe that U.S. is doing harm to their ideologies in the name of freedom.
