Thousands of Pakistani under the leadership of Imran khan the chairman of political party called, Pakistan tehrek-e-Insaf has joined against the brutal U.S. drone attacks into the region of Waziristan. These drone attacks were started around years ago and have been killing down huge number of innocent people. The CIA claims that they kill the terrorists but along with suspected ones, several innocents are also being killed. People have already lost hope into the government of Pakistan for helping them against the killing down of their own people by CIA drone attacks in Waziristan.
Keeping this thing in mind, the chairman and former Capt. of Pakistan cricket team has geared up his energies and combined a massive crowd from all over the Pakistan to go into the region of Waziristan and protest against the U.S. drone attacks.
“This is a peace march. We are not there to pick a fight with anyone,” Khan said in an interview Thursday. “The army, if they think they can’t provide protection beyond a certain point, they’ll tell us that.” In the interview at his spacious but simply appointed home outside the capital, he described major political party leaders as “nurtured by military dictators.” Referring to the generals, he said, “They don’t allow natural leadership to come up because they want controllable.”
The security issues are really severe in Waziristan as hundreds of lives can be risked, rumors have been circulating that Taliban have promised the security of Imran khan, A Taliban spokesperson said, “We are ready to provide them security if they need. We endorse Imran Khan’s plea that drone strikes are against our sovereignty. The anti-drone rallies should have been taken out by the religious leaders long ago but Imran had taken the lead and we would not harm him or his followers.”
Imran khan along with his followers made to reach the Waziristan but army officials have blocked the path. Probably, army doesn’t want the future of Pakistan to be in any risk. Mr. Khan in an interview to a television channel said that “We have achieved the goal of this march. Our message of peace has reached the world. I am thankful especially to the American group that came a long way here to join this protest against drone attacks,” he said.
“A senior official in the South Waziristan administration, Hameedullah Khattak, vowed that the motorcade would not be allowed to enter the tribal area, citing security concerns.
“We will not let them in South Waziristan for security reasons. Here is major security situation and we cannot provide them security,” he said.
Mr. khan is not worried about the criticism but has promised that nothing can stop them from entering Waziristan as Almighty is with them and they are entering for the peace into the region. Khan also said that if the government will stop them reaching their required destination then where ever they will be stopped into Waziristan they will hold a rally. Mr. Khan has grown stronger in a Muslim faith and is concerned about his own people.
