MUSLIM ACADEMY: AN ORGANIZATION WITH A PURPOSE

A journey that was not easy, that was not defined and that was not even planned started ten months back. When we started we had only one visitor and soon it gets better and better and today we have reached almost 1700 visitors and growing. The purpose of the company is to bring people of all the religions together on a solitary platform and let them discuss, interact with each other and increase the dialogue. The company is none other than Muslim Academy. It was not easy, but sheer hard work and determination of the founders have paid off in a way that today people and more precisely writers, editors, coordinators, managing and technical staff is from Pakistan, India, Egypt, Kuwait, Indonesia, Philippines and Germany. This circle is growing with the passage of time and its getting better too.

The highlight of the company is that it is collaboration between American non-Muslims and Muslims abroad. Let us put some light on how Muslim Academy was actually founded and see the concrete facts. An American student started learning Arabic a year ago realized that they have a lot of misconceptions about Islam. They are not well aware of the authentic things and are sentient about the ones portrayed by the global media and what the elders have told. His teachers were Muslims and one of them is a salafi Muslim from Egypt. He left his online school and at that very time that student thought of finding some more students for that teacher. So in December they started a tutoring company. As the time passes by, they realized that they can do even better because in their classes they can discuss and overcome the differences with dialogue. A worth mentioning point here is that the first two blogs written by that teacher attracted the attention of the anti-Islamic people in USA. So they thought to shift the gears and make it bigger and that’s how Muslim Academy was actually founded. As said earlier nothing was sure and small steps were taken in order to reach this landmark. Now the chain is growing and is getting better.

Now let’s move on and find out what Muslim Academy has achieved and what it is currently doing? What are the aims and what will the company do in future. So to start with the first question Muslim Academy has achieved a lot of things. Today they have thousands of visitors, hundreds of blogs and a lot of working people from all around the world. You can learn Arabic and a lot about Islam and other religions as well. The company has taken the initiative of increasing the dialogue and is gradually progressing in it. The company will take things to another level in future and their aim is to remove the misconceptions, hatred and differences among people and religions. By doing general discussions, dialogues and peaceful debates we can sort out all the matters easily and briskly without getting into extremes of anything and that’s the best part. Muslim Academy has taken this initiative and we all should support and prop up to   this gesture whole-heartedly.
