Five pillars of Islam that should be obeyed by every Muslim

Religions make the people organized and systematic. All the people living in this world have their own beliefs and entities which make them distinct and different from the others. And this is the reason that there are a number of religions which are existing in this world. Every person is free to accept any belief which is going well with his or her thoughts. One of the most accepted religions on the earth is Islam.

People who follow Islam are known to be Muslims and it is the religion which is being followed by the widest number of people all around the world. At the present time, after Christianity, Islam is at second number in the list of religions that are most followed by people. Every religion in the world is having its own orders and commandants that erect the foundation of a religion. The religion of Islam also holds five rules which are to be followed by every Muslim. These rules are known as five pillars of Islam. These are as follows:

It is the foremost thing which a person has to say if he or she wants to come inside the circle of Islam. Basically, it is a statement which says and puts on the view point of monotheism. It consists of a testimonial that is: ‘I state under oath that there is no other god than Allah and Muhammad SAWW is the last and real messenger of Allah.’ When any person says these words after proper understanding, he then becomes a Muslim. Shahadah is to convince every Muslim to accept as true that Allah is the only god and Hazrat Muhammad SAWW is His real messenger. It is the vital ground of faith for every Muslim and everyone should follow it determinedly.

Salah is the daily prayer which is necessary to be performed by a Muslim. Every Muslim has to offer prayers five times a day. These five prayers are named as Fajar, Zohar, Asar, Maghrib and Ishaa. All these names indicate special time of prayer. Fajar means the prayer at the crack of dawn. Zohar is the prayer at noon. Asar is the prayer in the afternoon. Maghrib is the prayer at the sunset and Ishaa is the prayer at late evening. Muslims should offer all these prayers in the direction of Makah. All the detail regarding the performance of Salah is mentioned in the Holy Quran but Hazrat Muhammad SAWW showed to the Muslims that how it should be performed.

It is generally a process in which the charities are offered by the Muslims who are able to do so. Zakat purifies the wealth of a Muslim. Percentages have been set on different valuables for the payment of Zakat. A Muslim who is financially able either male or female, is directed to pay Zakat every year.

For the Muslims, Sawm is among the holiest acts. The fast starts at the break of dawn and ends up at the sunset. People abstain from drinking, eating, smoking and sex. During fasting people get a chance to get rid of their sins.

Every person who is financially able to perform Hajj should perform it once in his whole life. It is every Muslim’s dream to visit Kaaba that is located in Makah. A number of rituals have been set for a Muslim which he has to perform in order. You cannot do Hajj at any time in a year; a specific time has been set for its performance.

These were the five pillars of Islam and a Muslim should implement all of them in their Life.
