In some western countries, there are people who pressure the government to apply Islamic laws as the population of Muslims is increasing day by day. After some time, the government of the UK, the USA and Canada decided to apply Islamic laws in their country. In Canada, the government decided to impose the Islamic laws in their city Toronto, but the Muslims of that city refused to do so. After this opposition of the Muslim (men and women), the government of Canada gave up the proposal of imposing Islamic laws in their state.
After this Canadian incident, the UK considers applying Islamic laws in the country. The government of America started adopting some of the aspects of Islamic law which seems obvious and is unavoidable. It is said that may be the American government wants to extend their friendship with Muslim leaders or maybe they are doing this because of the pressure it faces from the Muslims.
There are few kinds of laws which the western countries have set up for the safety of the Muslims living in their countries:
Safety of Life:
In a western state, like non-Muslim, every Muslim’s life is guaranteed respect. If a non-Muslim kills a Muslim, his deeds will be taken in the same way as it is taken from any killer.
Religious Freedom:
A Muslim has the freedom to follow his religion in a western state. He also has the freedom to practice his religion, to establish his places of worship like Mosques and also to save them.
Employment and Occupation:
A Muslim can acquire employment in government services, except for a few offices. They can earn a livelihood through any source with honesty.
Safety of Honor:
Every Muslim property and the honor of their women will not be attacked. The western government will look it by all means according to the Islamic laws.
Safety of Personal Affairs:
Every Muslim has the right to decide his personal affairs according to his religion, customs, and traditions. If these affairs reach the court, the judges have to decide according to the personal laws and customs of the party. No restrictions can be imposed on his movement, his sitting and his meeting with other people in the society.
Education:
All the Muslims have the freedom to acquire education of their own choice. No one can force them.
Loyalty:
The Muslims should be loyal to the state in which he/she is living.
Payment of Taxes:
Every Muslim should pay all the taxes and rates which are needed to be paid.
Restrictions:
The Muslims should avoid open use of all those things which are prohibited according to the teachings of non-Muslims. The Muslims can use them privately in their localities according to their customs and religious believes.
Peace:
The Muslims should play their role in strengthening the western state. They should consider the enemies of the state as their own enemies. They should keep themselves away from all such activities which create quarrels, disunity and atmosphere of anarchy.
