How should we respond to the mockery of the Prophet Muhammad?

Allah mentions in the Quran a very heavy verse, “You are all for sure no doubt about it going to be tested”, tested in what, in your money and in your own selves, your money will be in danger and yourself will be in danger. You will feel threatened, you will feel loss of ego, and you will feel these trials financially and socially. If you want to put it in modern terms financially and socially. The verse continues that you will no doubt about it, definitely hear to those who were given the book much before you – implying the Jews and the Christians – and those who have committed Shirk (i.e. Quraish). It says that no doubt about it you will get to hear from them a lot of painful words. You will get to hear a lot of painful things from them. Is that happening today? Are we hearing painful things from those communities, are they saying horrendous things about the book of Allah, about the Messenger, about the Muslims in general. Don’t they come out and say that all Muslims are terrorists and the ones that aren’t terrorists know that this is a hijacking of our religion, we don’t believe to do these crimes to innocent people etc etc. These people are just lying to protect the terror, they will come out and say that, they will say horrendous things about Allah’s Messenger, and we have to hear these things. But now Allah says that now that we get to hear them what should be our reaction? This is where we have to be harsh on ourselves; we have to be tough on our own selves. Muslims nowadays have become nothing but emotional puppets, they know exactly how we are going to respond and they do things to us so we work exactly as it is to plan, when we burn a couple of cars in the Muslim world or protest or yell and scream. We don’t act in a calm, collected, calculate fashion which is the way of Allah Messenger. When we hear these horrid things like this, what should we do? Allah says, “And if you are able to be patient (patience actually means controlling your emotions, holding yourself back and continuing to fear Allah) then this is one of the most noble of deeds you can do” Our patience speaks volumes, our yelling and screaming is more detrimental, but after we are patient what are we supposed to do in addition, but you know we can talk of how important it is for our masjids to represent the teachings of this Deen and to educate the local community, it is actually a critical job of any masjid if not every Muslim to represent the teachings of this Deen amongst their communities amongst their co workers, business partners, their neighbours and friends. And if you cant do that as an individual, the masjid is supposed to help you to educate your co workers and other people whom you interact with, by removing the fear that Shayateen has put inside of them. The Shayateen did this at the time of the Messenger too, you know the Quraish would go around saying don’t listen to this man you will go crazy if you listen to him, if you listen to him your family will get destroyed he will do magic on you. They will instill fear into the population, so don’t blame the population that’s the Shayateen doing his job, you just have to do a better job that’s all. We have to do our job, we have to clarify this Deen.
