Is Iran a friend or enemy of the USA?

on Wednesday, September 26, 2012

In present times, there are no proper diplomatic relationships between the U.S. and Iran. Poor relations have been made between both the countries. Due to these relationships, Iran is maintaining interest sections with the Pakistani embassy in Washington, D.C as an alternative to the exchanging the ambassadors. On the other hand, the United States have been maintaining interest sections with Swiss embassies in Tehran. These relations among both of the countries started in the nineteenth century. In the beginning, when Iran was well aware of the Russian and British colonial interests, the United States was found as an even more trustworthy and reliable Western power.

During these days Morgan Shuster and Arthur Millspaugh, who were well-known Americans, were appointed as treasurers in Shahs. Iran was invaded by the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom at the time of World War II. Both of them are known to be allies of the United States. After the war, situations were a bit settled, and a positive change was experienced among the relationships. After many years, relations continued to be positive and lasted until Mohammad Mossadeq’s Government.

Mohammad Mossadeq was then conquered by the coup which was arranged by MI6 and aided by the CIA. It resulted in a period of a close alliance among the government of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the American government. Later, hostility resulted and a dramatic reversal occurred between the two countries after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Different opinions have been given as to the main cause of the poor relations between the countries for decades. According to Iranian explanations and announcements, many conflicts were made by the Iranian Revolution in some way.  This resulted in arrogance from the Americans and their wish for the global hegemony.

According to some other explanations, Iranian governments wanted to bind the government with loyal constituency. Another important militating factor that is responsible for these types of relations is the fear of Americans for nuclear programs that are being made by Iran’s government. This happened following the revolution in Iran. A number of Irani journalists, American journalists and professors who are studying Iran’s culture, history and politics are gathered as members of the Axis of Evil. In this way, they link to each other and create the recent reports that have been reported about the current situations that are going on between these countries.

The real cause of the disputes and problems are not among the people of the countries but these are the governments which are creating issues in between them. These problems and disputes between the governments can be changed only if we bring regime change and if the governments settle their main issues and disputes.
