A political party has announced it will be visiting Skegness to hold a protest and day of action against a Halal abattoir. The Lincolnshire Coastal Branch of the BNP will be at the Heath Road site on Saturday, March 16 from noon to voice its views and drum up support for the party.
Speaking about the protest, Robert Ashton, branch & group organiser, said: "We visited the abattoir back in January and we will be going on the Saturday [March 16] to hold a static protest. We will gather, say a few things and the BNP advertising truck will be going around the town."
The party say, the protest will form the second phase of its structured campaign and its 'Truth Truck' will be present on the day to portray the party's opposition to the ritual practice of Halal slaughter. "We've had positive feedback from our visit before and the protest is not designed to cause trouble, we are there for people to ask questions," added Robert.
As reported, the opening of the slaughter house, has roused mixed opinions in the town and a number of political parties, including Nick Griffin MEP, BNP leader, have spoken out against it.
We have previously noted this newspaper's readiness to give favourable publicity to the BNP's anti-halal campaign, despite it being a fascist organisation. Now we are informed that the paper is on first-name terms with the BNP's local organiser. You can only conclude that there is some editorial sympathy for far-right racists at the Skegness Standard.
The Mayor of Moscow says there are no plans to build a new mosque in the city, and says the "excessive" number of economic migrants was a "harmful thing".
"It has turned out that the praying Muslims are not at all Russian citizens and they are not Moscow residents. They are labor migrants. There are only 10 percent of Moscow residents among them and building mosques for everyone who wants it – I think this will be over the top," Sergey Sobyanin said in an interview with Moscow's Echo radio.
The top city official went on to say that "Muscovites now get irritated by people who speak a different language, have different manners, with aggressive behavior. This is not purely ethnic, but this is connected with some ethnic traits," Sobyanin said.
At the same time, the Moscow Mayor explained that there are no ethnic enclaves in the city and expressed the hope that such enclaves would never appear as closed districts like that usually have a very high crime rate.
For a Europe without fascism, racism and xenophobia
Unite Against Fascism national conference
Saturday 2 March, 11am to 5pm TUC Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS
Unite Against Fascism's conference this Saturday (2nd March) will bring together a broad coalition of anti-racist and anti-fascist activists, faith communities, trade unions and political parties set out a strategy to defeat the rise of fascists and neo-Nazis in Britain and across Europe.
A key focus will be to deprive Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons of the European Parliament seats they won for the British National Party four years ago.
It will also assess the lessons of the last year's success in uniting communities in many towns and cities across the country to prevent the violent racists of the English Defence League from storming into multicultural neighbourhoods.
The conference will also hear from a number of speakers from Europe. Petros Constantinou from Greece will address the shocking breakthrough by the Nazi Golden Dawn party in that country and Marwan Mohammed from France will speak about opposition to the Front National, which came third in last year's presidential elections.
They will join a range of speakers – from TUC president Leslie Mercer, to former London Mayor Ken Livingstone, Farooq Murad of the Muslim Council of Britain, Peter Hain MP, Gerry Gable of the veteran antifascist magazine Searchlight and many others (see below).
"The Unite Against Fascism conference this year continues to face a very serious situation where the ideas that feed the support for fascist groups have not gone away and street-fighting group like the EDL are still very active. But at the same time we have welcome successes to build upon." says Sabby Dhalu, UAF joint secretary.
"The BNP have been driven back in the last few rounds of local elections, and the EDL met such a determined and united community response to its attempts to stir up hatred in multicultural areas like Tower Hamlets and Walthamstow that its support fell away. In Cambridge – its most recent attempt on 23rd February – only 26 people turned up to its 'national mobilisation', while the UAF united community response numbered 1500.
"But this success is down to the UAF's systematic campaign against the BNP, the EDL and all neo-Nazi groups. It is certainly not down to a diminishing threat or potential support base. In fact, reckless media scaremongering, ubiquitous anti-Muslim rhetoric and scapegoating at a time of economic hardship are on the increase.
"The potential for all that to spill over into fascist advances and violent racism remains worryingly present. The BNP took two seats in the last European elections four years ago and Griffin and Brons are still members of the European Parliament. We are determined to defeat them in the 2014 Euro-election and any efforts by the far right to break through elsewhere. Our campaigns in the North-west and Yorkshire & Humberside Euro regions are already underway."
Fellow UAF joint secretary Weyman Bennett adds: "You only have to look at Europe to see the urgency.
"What happens in Europe clearly affects us in Britain. Moreover there are direct attempts by prominent fascist figures from the continent to boost their co-thinkers here. Two years ago Geert Wilders of the Dutch extreme right Party for Freedom was here, last week the FN's Marine Le Pen was in Cambridge, the Hungarian Jobbik Party is reportedly looking to open an office here.
"The UAF organizes against all such attempts to import Euro-fascism to Britain, and is stepping up its solidarity with the European antifascist movement.
"Just as fascists and racists are seeking to coordinate across Europe, so are antifascists. We represent the majority in each country; but if the majority stays silent, a racist minority can quickly grow. At our conference on Saturday we will be exploring with European friends how to better co-ordinate and reinforce our efforts."

Eid al-Adha honours the moment when God appeared to Ibrahim in a dream and asked him to sacrifice his son. As Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, as a sign of obedience, God stopped him and gave him a sheep as a sacrifice instead of killing his own son.
The Adha holiday begins on the last day of the Hajj (a pilgrimage that occurs from the 8th to 12th and last month of the Islamic calendar). Many people call Eid al-Adha the Feast of Sacrifice or the Greater Eid. It is prompt to mention that, In Islam, there are two Feasts (Eid holidays) observed by Muslims and Greater Eid is the longer one of these two as it lasts for four days. The other feast is called Eid al-Fitr or the Little Eid. This feast follows the final day of the holy month of Ramadan; the time for inner reflection, devotion to God, and self-control which are all reached through out the fasting process that occurs for the thirty days of Ramadan.
To commemorate the appearance of God to Ibrahim and later happenings, during Eid al-Adha, many Muslim families sacrifice a sheep and cook its meat. The meat is eaten with families and friends and shared with the poor people. The meaning of eating and sharing is for the hope that the sacrifice might be accepted by God. Muslim people, who want to take part in Eid al-Adha, but do not have enough money to buy a sheep and share it with others, can donate to charities that benefit the poor. During the holiday, many Muslims exchange meaningful gifts with each other.
Although this is a great religious celebration, there are certain rules about who should and who should not take part in this big commemoration service. According to traditional believers everyone, men, women and children should go to the mosque to perform Eid prayer. Travelers and menstruating women should not pray in the mosque, and those in bad health cannot eat meat. “Eid Mubarak” and “Eid Saeed” are the routine greetings used during the holiday to offer best wishes.
In 2013, Eid al-Adha is supposed to start and take place in the evening of October 14, and will continue till the evening of October 15. However, dates vary for different countries. The official date is going to be announced by scholars in Saudi Arabia. This is definitely one of the best four days in the Muslim world where everyone gets to enjoy doing good deeds and meeting with their family and friends.
Islam is the second largest religion around the world. It has over one billion followers. The Islamic world stretches mainly from North Africa to Southeast Asia, however, significant number of Muslims may be found in all other parts of the world. The number of individuals who are converting to Islam is also increasing on a daily basis because many people are beginning to understand the meaning of Islam. Islam isn’t exactly what is portrayed in the media or other sources. This is a peaceful religion that is practiced by billions of people worldwide.
In history, Islam is viewed most of the time as a religious tradition, which originated in the seventh century in Arabia. The prophet Muhammad was the person who started spreading the religious beliefs of Islam after he had received the divine revelation, which is recorded in the Quran, the holy book of Muslims. Nevertheless, it is crucial to know that Muslims do not view Islam as a new religion; they believe that Allah is the same God who spoke and sent messages to all the past prophets and messengers.
As already mentioned, Muslims focus on knowing Allah and doing all what is possible to satisfy Allah. All the concern of the believer is focused on the one God that is mentioned in Quran and controls the whole world and universe. The word Islam means submission. In other words, all Muslims are servants of God.
The God of Muslims, Allah, ordered work to be both communal, and individual. Therefore, communities and states in the Muslim world work to understand very well God’s will, and with their own example they wish to spread this knowledge to the rest of humanity. The idea is that every human being is invited to worship, adore and serve the one and only God.
In modern times, there are two main Muslim communities to be found, and they have developed into groups as a result of a debate that was caused because of Muhammad’s leadership succession. These two groups are known to be the Sunni people and the Shiaa communities. The majority of Muslims are Sunni, getting more than 75–90% of Muslims. The 2nd largest sector is Shiaa with about 10–20%. Probably the most populous Muslim-majority nation will be Indonesia property in order to 12. 7% on the earth’s Muslims followed by Pakistan (11. 0%), Bangladesh (9. 2%), and Egypt (4. 9%). Substantial minorities are within India, China, Paris, Ethiopia, Americas, Sydney and parts of The European union.
Along with the regards 1.8 billion of people or even 26% connected with world’s human population, Islam may be the second-largest and one of several fastest-growing beliefs on earth.
Konu hassas, hep anlatıla gelmiştir İmam-ı Azam’ın babasının hikâyesi, biz de bahsedelim;
Hazreti Numan:
“Olur” dedi. Yalnız, adam kızının elinin çolak, gözünün kör, ayağının topal, başının kel, kulağının sağır ve dilsiz olduğunu söyleyip iyi düşünmesini ve sonra pişman olmamasını söyledi. Hazreti Numan yine düşündü taşındı “ahirette ceza çekmekten iyidir” deyip kızla evlenmeyi de kabul etti.
Aslında adam hazreti Numan’a vermek için kızının büyümesini beklemişti. Düğün yapıldı nikâh kıyıldı, zifaf gecesi hazreti Numan’a gelinin olduğu odayı gösterdiler.
Kur’an-ı Kerim’de Rabbimiz şöyle buyuruyor: “(Ey ehl-i kitap!)
