Islam is a complete religion which has norms and values. Firstly, I will try to explore what the Islamic values are. How these Islamic values strengthen the structure of the society. Islamic values can be divided into three categories.
- Necessities
- Convenience
- Refinements
The necessities for Human beings comprise of religion, life, regeneration, money and brain. Islam allows human beings to search for the truth and choose their religion. Life is a blessing from ALLAH (SWT). Islam strictly prohibits killing each other but the purpose of Human beings should be to protect one’s life. Islam encourages marriage for the process for regeneration while having sexual relations before marriage is strictly prohibited and one who commits adultery should be punished. Islam encourages us to spend our earnings and money for ALLAH, and help those who are poor enough and cannot make their both ends meet. No one can take others money without their acceptance. Islam strictly prohibits the use of Alcohol and drug in order to protect your brain from committing sins, and it also protects us from evil.
Conveniences are also needed for Humans in order to remove difficulties in life and necessities not only remove the difficulties, but also improve the comfort.
Islam is perfect, the values of Islam are described in Quran, and these values were practiced by our last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). They include; the believe in ALLAH, His messengers, , His Angels, His books, the Day of Judgment and destiny. The problem is not Islamic values, but the outlook of Muslims towards Islamic values.
Now, the question arises whether we are following these Islamic values in 2013? Muslims are losing their position so they are left far behind because they are not following Islamic Values. As mentioned above, that the purpose of a Human should be to protect one’s life. Today, we are losing our Humanity. Muslims are killing their own Muslim brothers. We are divided into different casts. A rich person is getting richer and a poor man is getting poorer. No one is ready to spend money for ALLAH, but everyone prefers a luxurious life. The use of drugs is becoming so common these days that most of the people especially teenagers are spoiling their lives. They are losing their control and commit sins.
These are alarming situations for Muslims. These Islamic values are not so difficult to follow. They are for the benefit of Muslim Society. We are not fulfilling our necessities because we are indulged in committing sins intentionally or unintentionally. If a person thinks that ALLAH will have mercy on him and will forgive all his sins, he is living in a fool’s paradise. ALLAH forgives only those who ask for His forgiveness. If we follow all these Islamic values, ALLAH will surely make our lives easier, and will open the doors of Heavens for us on the Day of Judgment.
