No matter how much it is criticized by the west, they cannot change the facts. And that is so because of two irrefutable facts; the people who criticize Islam are either non-Muslims or Muslim by name only and second; every other religion has been altered and manipulated by people so much that the real form of those religions has ceased to exist. Furthermore, it carries no value as to what a certain minute group of people has to say about a faith if the group in question is biased about everything other than themselves. Such is the case with most of the critics of Islam; they believe that what they follow is correct, and what they do not follow cannot be correct.

In a situation like this, the responsibility lays on the shoulders of believers that they refute their arguments with their actions so much that the truth prevails. Islam as clearly stated in the Quran, and Ahadith in numerous occasions, is a blessing not just for a sect but all of humanity. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) was sent down as a blessing for all the universes and not just Muslims. Now, if that is so; can’t we, the Muslims see how blessed we are for being among those who are called the followers of Muhammad (S.A.W.W)? Yes, we are blessed not only by that fact but because we are the people our Prophet (S.A.W.W) would pray for all night long; we are the people who carry forward what the Prophet (S.A.W.W) gave to this world –we are the flag bearers!

But there lays another question; do we fulfill our responsibilities? Do we actually follow the path of our Prophet (S.A.W.W), and are really turning out to be what he used to call his ummah? The answer comes; if we actually were all that, the world would have seen it, and the image of Islam would not have been what some people think it is. If the Muslim side of ours was prevailing over our evil sides, people would not have termed us as extremists and intolerant fundamentalists.

Lastly, if we had been all what the Prophet (S.A.W.W) wanted us to be, we ourselves would have felt the blessings, the peace and joy at heart that Allah SWT bestows upon his loved ones. When a time comes that we no longer feel guilty of sins or the inclination to repent diminishes, we are at a constant risk of being replaced by some other deserving being in the eyes of God –but if all that continues, and if we keep our priorities aligned, the blessings of Almighty are boundless.

Ehab Magdy Wassily has been with us since we had 1 visitor per day, he was there when this community first started, his first article at the blog was a great hit and success. It was an article that talked about the misconceptions and the stereotypes that people in the western world have about Arabs and Egypt from his experience in a Q&A form. He was also a part of some of the exciting podcasts that discussed different events and topics regarding the civilization clash between the East and the West and how to build bridges instead of walls. He has not been active for quite a while now, but now we know what he busy was doing.

He recently was a guest in a Norwegian Radio Station, thanks to Muslim Academy. The interview was discussing the same things that Muslim Academy usually discuses concerning the differences between the East and the West and what can people like us do in order to focus on the similarities instead of the differences.

Hier, nous avons tous connus le jour de la Fête des Mères. qu’une personne soit chrétienne ou musulmane, il va de soi que les mères tiennent toujours une place importante. Le Coran enseigne aux musulmans le respect envers Allah et son prophète et met en même temps en valeur le respect que chacun doit apporter à sa mère. Le Coran et la Sunna mentionnent clairement et soulignent l’importance de l’obéissance et du devoir envers sa mère.

La mère dans le Coran
Dans le chapitre 17 du Coran, dans le 23e verset, Allah mentionne qu’il a été décidé que nous devons bien traiter nos parents, il a aussi été souligné que ce traitement est encore plus important lorsqu’ils atteignent un âge avancé. Il a été même interdit de soupirer pour montrer que l’on est fatigué, épuisé d’écouter ses parents. Il est recommandé de parler à ses parents avec douceur en utilisant des mots gentils.

Dans le chapitre 31, dans le verset 14, Allah souligne encore l’importance de l’obéissance que l’on doit à ses parents et surtout à sa mère. Il décrit la période de la grossesse comme un moment où la faiblesse ne fait que croître. Et Il continue de nous rappeler la période de sevrage de deux ans et ordonne à ce que nous soyons reconnaissants envers Lui et nos parents.

Dans le chapitre 45, verset 15, Allah répète l’importance de l’obéissance envers les parents et soulignent encore une fois les privations que la mère endure dans l’éducation de ses enfants. Il mentionne les premiers jours de maternité et l’éducation, nous rappelant la privation que nos mères endurent pour nous élever.

La mère dans la Sunna
Le prophète Muhammad (paix soit sur lui) a souligné à de nombreuses occasions l’importance du rôle de la mère. Dans un hadith, il (paix soit sur lui) a mentionné que la mère est la personne qui mérite la meilleure attention. Un de ses compagnons lui a demandé quelle serait la personne qui mérite le plus de respect, alors il lui répondit “Votre mère”. Son ami lui demanda “Alors qui ?”. Le Prophète répliqua encore une fois “Votre mère”. Son ami lui répéta la question plusieurs fois, mais le Prophète donna toujours la même réponse.

Dans un hadith, le Prophète Muhammad ordonna à un homme qui a demandé à se joindre à l’armée musulmane de revenir vers ses parents et de donner le meilleur de lui-même pour les servir. Le Prophète lui demanda d’abord, “Tes parents sont-ils encore vivants ?” Lorsqu’il a répondu par “oui”, le Prophète lui dit: «Vous devriez donner le meilleur de vous pour les servir.”

Dans un autre hadith, le Prophète mentionne que le comportement d’une personne envers ses parents peut être la raison de son accès ou non au paradis. Il dit: «Qu’il soit humilié dans la poussière. Qu’il soit humilié dans la poussière. ” Ses compagnons demandèrent à qui il faisait allusion. Le Prophète Muhammad a répondu: «Celui qui voit soit ses parents pendant leur vieillesse, mais qui n’entrera pas au paradis.”

Les précédents versets et les hadiths ne sont qu’une fraction des mots écrits dans le Coran et la Sunna de l’importance majeure du comportement que l’on devrait avoir envers ses parents, et surtout envers sa mère. Même dans les contextes où nous vivons actuellement, il est important que nous nous rappelions de ces versets et des hadiths afin de n’apporter aucun souci à nos mères et à améliorer son bien-être et bonheur, tant par amour pour Allah que pour eux.

Recently, there was bloodshed in Iraq because of an explosion during the payer on Friday. Not only this, there was an attempt made by hackers on a western newspaper by the supporters of the Syrian President Basher Al-Assad, and a recent video has come up with a commander eating the flesh of a dead soldier in a reminder of the civil war that was initiated almost two years ago.

The involvement of different powers around the world in the Syrian war issues has prevented to have a resolution passed. Recently, the United States military personal General Martin Dempsey has condemned the step taken by Russia in which it has delivered anti –ship missiles to the Syrian government. So far both countries have failed to overcome the gap that was developed.

Russia does not seem to be keen on giving the statements against the United States allegations. According to the spokesmen of the Russian president Vladimir Putin, Russia would continue to facilitate its weaponry customer whatsoever.

According to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, it is very unfortunate that the Russian government has made such kind of decision with knowing the fact that more than 80,000 people were killed during the civil war in Syria.

The missiles that were sold from the Russian government to the Syrian government can hit up to 300 km that means there is a higher probability that could be warships in the Mediterranean. Recently, the  United Nations secretary had a meeting with the Russian president on Friday, and he emphasized on the matter that there should be an international meeting held as soon as possible.

Interesting development about the international meeting is that France had made it very clear in a statement that they would not be sitting in the meeting if Iran was invited, and on the other hand, Russia want Tehran to play a major role in putting up the solution.

الناس من الذين أثروا في طريق صناعة الموسيقى و الفن بشكل عام ، وخاصة في مجال موسيقى الروك .

ويتكون هذا المتحف من سبعة طوابق ، فمن الأول للخامس يعرض فيه القطع والأعمال والوثائق التاريخية المؤقتة أو التي تم اقتراض بعضها لفترة قصيرة من الزمن ، مثل جولة المشوه ، وعرض لتذكارات من 12 عاما في جولة في الوجود ، وغيرها من الأعمال والموسيقية الأخرى ، اما الطابق الثالث هو المكان الذي يقع في قاعة الفعلي للشهرة ، ويتضمن جدار مع كل من التوقيعات وتسجيلات الزيارة ، أما السابع هو معرض مؤقت حيث تقام فيه المعارض التي تحتوي على مجموعة معينة لفنان ما. ويعتبر أصغر قسم لأنه في أعلى الهرم.
ويعتبر هذا المتحف جزء من إعادة تطوير منطقة ميناءالمدينة الشمالي .

و ياتي متحف الطيران والفضاء الوطني من اهم المتحاف ايضا وهو متحف يقع بولاية واشنطن تابع لمؤسسة سميثسونيان ، وهو المتحف الأكثر شعبية ، فيه أكبر عدد من الطائرات والمركبات الفضائية في العالم وهو أيضا مركز حيوي للبحث في تاريخ وعلوم وتقنيات الطيران والطيران الفضائي، بالإضافة إلى علوم الكواكب والجيولوجياوالجيوفيزياء، معظم المراكب المعروضة هي مراكب أصلية.
سعت مؤسسة سميثسونيان أن تجعله مثيرا للإعجاب معماريا ، ولكن دون أن يطغى على مبنى الكابيتول،  صمم المهندس غيو أوباتا من مكتب هيلموث وأوباتا وكاساباوم في سانت لويس المتحف ، وهو عبارة عن أربع مكعبات بسيطة مكسوة بالرخام ، تحتوي على العروض الصغيرة والمسرحية، وهي ممتصلة فيما بينها بثلاثة أروقة كبيرة من الفولاذ والزجاج التي تحتوي على المعروضات الأكبر حجما، كالصواريخ والطائرات ومركبات الفضاء .

و ياتي متحف بالتيمور للفن ايضا من هم المتاحف بامريكا و يقع في مدينة بالتيمور في ولاية ميريلاند ، وتأسس عام 1914 ، بنى على الطراز الروماني ، ويضم أكبر مجموعة من اللوحات التي تنتمي إلى القرن التاسع عشر ، كذلك لوحات كثيرة في الفن المعاصر والحديث ، ويوجد به حوالي 90 ألف لوحة فنية ، ويقع المتحف متاخما لجامعة جونز هوبكنز.
يضم المتحف ايضا أعمالا لفنانين منهم ماتيس وبيكاسو وسيزان ومانيه وديغا وغوغان وفان غوخ ورينوار.

After the statement of Altaf Hussain, the British high commissioner has taken her statement very seriously, and it is very likely that there would be some action taken against Altaf Hussain. Recently during the election week in Pakistan, many questions were raised about the credibility of the Election commission of Pakistan that was damaged by MQM.

The ECP said that there would be a fair election in all parts of Pakistan, but it failed to do so as the MQM was found manipulating the results in Karachi where evidences were found that the MQM was directly involved in the rigging of the election. Hundreds of people were outside the polling station when they found that the MQM was influencing the elections in Karachi. In a protest against the rigging in elections, thousands of people gathered in Karachi to protest against the MQM, and the demand of the protesters was that there should be re-pooling in all parts of Karachi. The second major party that came up with the huge popularity in the elections of 2013 was the PTI which was led by Imran Khan one of the former captains of the Pakistani cricket team.The PTI supporters said that they were threatened by the MQM members that they would be facing extreme reaction by the MQM.

In response, the MQM leader while giving a statement tried to calm the people in Karachi live on telephonic conversation. Not only in Pakistan but also the international media were surprised by such a statement by Altaf Hussain. A lot of media coverage was given to the protestors so that their voice can be heard. In response, the election commissioner of Pakistan has taken an action, and announced that there should be re-polling in specific areas of Karachi where the polling wasn’t done.

Earlier, there were many statements by the MQM in which they have tried to treat people so that can come under their influence, but this time the protestors said that they won’t be backing up until there would be free and fair elections again.

The polling results that came up after the elections, particularly in Karachi were unacceptable because there were many witnesses that came up with the evidences that rigging was being-made in Karachi.

With the statement coming up of Altaf Hussain, there were complaints raised by thousands of people all around the United Kingdom and Pakistan that there should be notice taken by the UK government. There were complaints send to the London metropolitan police about the statement that Altaf Hussain addressed to the people of Karachi. People in the UK are also demanding that there should be some action taken against the MQM.

During the statement, Altaf Hussain, who was talking non-sense, said that if people didn’t like the MQM and they were not willing to accept the mandate given to them then it would be justified to separate Karachi from Pakistan. He said that if people have some problems with the MQM then it would be justified to say that Karachi should be handed over to the MQM as an independent state. However, we would all agree that there is no concept of state within a state. The MQM is intentionally provoking the people so seperation could be created in Karachi.

A statement like this can lead to chaos in Pakistan. After a strong response from the media and the people of Pakistan, the MQM spokesmen said in a statement that Altaf Hussain statement was misinterpreted by the media and it was manipulated, however the statement by Altaf Hussain was very much clear.

As a result of the complaints of the people in the UK, there was pressure on London Police to take a serious action against Altaf Hussain, and Thomson said in a statement that they were looking into the matter very seriously, and there were higher numbers of chances that Altaf Hussain may face some heavy charges. In the British law, it is a very serious crime if someone tries to provoke people to promote violence.

Altaf Hussain has denied the message that was understood from his statement a few days ago. He was advised by his doctors that he should have some rest so that he can continue his political activities.

The Swiss Nobel laureate who shared the award for one of the greatest inventions of modern times; the microscope was regarded as one of the gifted physicists of the modern era. Born on the 6th of June 1933, Heinrich Rohrer was always up close to physics, starting off in an early age when he was enrolled as a student of masterminds like Wolfgang Pauli and Paul Scherer. He had important titles to his name even before the invention of the scanning tunneling microscope like spending time at the University of California for research on nuclear magnetic resonance, and joining IBM Research Laboratory where he later headed the physics department of research lab and invented the aforementioned microscope.

On late Thursday night 16th May 2013, the world lost this gem of a person at the age of 79 in Wollerau Switzerland. He was fighting an illness since quite a while though the death is believed to be of natural causes. He has left behind his wife, two daughters and two grandchildren all of whom must be extremely proud him.

Rohrer was acclaimed for his scanning tunneling microscope since it was a breakthrough into the field of nanotechnology; the microscope enables scientists to get up close and personal with the atoms by allowing them to make images as detailed as one-25th of the diameter of an atom! This has helped identify the previously unknown structures of viruses and chips. In words of John E. Kelly:

“The invention of the scanning tunneling microscope was a seminal moment in the history of science and information technology.”

The story of Rohrer and his partner, Dr. Binnig’s achievement started with their desire to study the lesser known structures of atoms in the course of which they found out that they needed a new type of microscope as the electron microscopes were not good enough for it –hence the invention process started. Just as all genius ideas are criticized at some point, the scientists at IBM were skeptical about their project due to the delicacy of the microscope to be built and often remarked them to be “completely crazy”. Some of them went on to add” “but if it works you’ll get the Nobel Prize” –as if that’s exactly what was written.

The depth that his work has provided to the field of nanotechnology is evidenced by the latest usage of his research by IBM to make a film. Verified by Guinness Book of World Records, that assembles atom into the shape of a boy that dances along while playing catch with an atom. All of the film was made using atoms frame by frames that were magnified to 100 million times –the film was called “A Boy and His Atom”.

Khan vs. Barrera:

In early 2009, it was announced that Khan would fight against Marco Antonio Barrera on the 14th of March, who was a former seven-time and three-weight world champion. Frank Warren promoted Khan’s fight against the veteran Barrera, may be Khan’s highest-profile opponent up till now. Barrera was ranked 1 and Khan 5 in the WBO world lightweight rankings. IBF and WBO lightweight title holder Nate Campbell was stripped of the belts after moving up to the light welterweight division and Khan’s promoter Frank Warren and Barrera’s promoter Don King forced the WBO to make the Khan-Barrera fight to a world lightweight title eliminator. Later on ,the world-title status was instead given to the fight between Juan Manuel Márquez and Juan Diaz, ranked #2 and #3 respectively by the WBO.

On 14 March 2009, at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England, Khan beated Barrera, by a technical call. The fight was stopped at the close of the fifth round because Barrera suffered from a cut within the first round, which resulted from a clash of heads. Barrer was in no position to continue the fight. The fight then went to the scorecards where Khan was ahead on all three (50–44, 50–45, 50–45). With victory, Khan defended his WBA International lightweight title successfully, and also won the vacant WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title.

Frank Warren was impressed with Khan’s performance that he announced a world title fight for him before the close of the year.

Khan also said on the fight that,

“I felt so completely easy that I felt like I was on a better level than him. The jabbing and patience – I felt so strong.”

Khan vs. Kotelnik:

On 18 July 2009, Khan took a step forward to the light welterweight division to fight Andreas Kotelnik at the MEN Arena in Manchester for the WBA light welterweight title. Khan won by 120–108, 118–111, 118–111. By this, Khan was considered the third-youngest Briton to win a world title, being 22 years old.

On 6 October 2009, It was confirmed that Khan would defend his WBA light welterweight title against undefeated Ukrainian American boxer Dmitry Salita, Khan being a practicing Muslim and Salita being an Orthodox Jew, the fight was pictured as a religious fight by the media, referring to the fight as a “battle of faiths”. Later, Khan and Salita denied such claims. On 5 December 2009, Khan beat his  challenger Salita in just 76 seconds. Khan won by a technical KO in the very first round. Salita was knocked down three times, the first time after only ten seconds into the fight. It was the first loss of Salita’s career.

On 17 January 2010, Khan announced he had left British promoter Frank Warren and signed a deal with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions.

Khan vs. Malignaggi:

On 9 March 2010, Golden Boy Promotions confirmed that Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi would appear in a press conference to announce their world title bout set for 15 May at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. This was Khan’s first bout in the USA. Khan won the bout in the 11th round. 

Just after the fight, Khan said he wanted to fight Marcos Maidana next. He said that he would not be leaving the light welterweight division until he had unified the various belts, and then will face the winner of  Devon Alexander vs. Timothy Bradley match.
