A Dog saved a 63 years old Woman from Committing Suicide

Dogs, a man’s best friend, the most faithful and clever animal on the earth. Dogs are so attached to their human companion that they detect their owner’s mood better than a human partner can. These days a dog is considered to be better than humans, a dog loves his owner unconditionally and can even die for him.

A dog will keep you happy, healthy and active. It will welcome you home with enthusiasm and its wagging tail will make your world brighter. Dogs can understand humans just by their eyes and body language. Dogs have a strong sense of smell and hearing; thus, they make an excellent guard for protecting homes.

Dogs are highly intelligent and, so they are used in different sectors of life. Dogs are best friends. Because of their powerful smelling, they are used by police forces for sniffing criminals, explosives or drugs at various crime scenes, they are used by customs officers at the airport for smelling luggage. Dogs are also used in the rescue operation, for instance, if there is a rubble building, dogs can point out where a human is buried in the rubble. Dogs are attentive and can understand many things, and so they are used for rehab programs and also for those people who are on wheelchairs and cannot work on their own. The dog can answer doors for them, receive calls for them, pick their newspapers, open the fridge and do various other chores.

There are about more than a hundred breeds of dogs in the world, the best and the most common breeds kept by people are German Shepherd and Labrador. These breeds are excellent human companions and are very friendly and excellent guard dogs. Recently in Avignon, a German shepherd saved his woman owner. The woman was a French lady who tried to commit suicide by shooting herself in her chest. The woman fired several shots from her 22 caliber rifle in her garden and then she pointed the gun to her chest. The dog sensed the situation, as soon as, she pulled the trigger; the dog jumped on her and diverted her shot aimed. The women were injured with the gun wound, but it was not life threatening. The woman was 63 years old, and later her husband found her wounded and rushed to the hospital, the woman doesn’t have any life threatening condition. The German Shepherd saved the woman’s life and thus became a hero.

This is the quality of dogs. They are loyal and very good observers, and they love their human companion unconditionally and irrevocably. This is not the first case, there have been many other reported cases in which dogs saved their owners from committing suicide or they saved them from robbers, thieves, murderers and accidents.

Arsonist faces 20 years in prison for attack on Toledo Islamic centre – but this doesn't address wider problem of anti-Muslim hatred

Randolph Linn is behind bars after pleading guilty to federal arson and related crimes committed at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, but local Muslim leaders are concerned there may be more people like him out there.

Linn, a 52-year-old truck driver and ex-Marine from St. Joe, Ind., was initially charged with one count each of intentionally damaging religious property and using fire or explosives in commission of a felony for the Sept. 30 arson attack. A third charge, of using a firearm to commit a crime of violence, was added by a grand jury Dec. 18.

He pleaded guilty to all three counts in U.S. District Court in Toledo on Dec. 19 as part of a binding agreement and could be sentenced to 20 years in prison in April. He will also be required to pay a $250,000 fine and restitution that may exceed $1 million.

"Yes, justice has been served and the Islamic Center will be rebuilt and we will meet inside it and continue to do so. But the actual problem hasn't been dealt with," said S. Zaheer Hasan, a spokesman for the United Muslim Association of Toledo.

"There's a bad feeling, first of all because of the environment, which is becoming hateful," he said. "The arson attack was an isolated incident, but it was a product of that hatred."

Mahjabeen Islam, president of the Islamic Center, said it was "upsetting" to sit through Linn's hearing, during which the suspect vented his hatred of Muslims. "It was terrible because he was guilty, but he has no remorse at all," Islam said. "It was very apparent to everyone that he blamed the media; he blamed Fox News; he tried to blame alcohol."

Linn told U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary that prior to his crime he drank 45 beers in seven hours. He then said he spontaneously decided, after seeing a wounded U.S. soldier on television, to get into his Chevrolet Sonic and drive 82 miles from St. Joe to Perrysburg.

He brought three firearms and stopped along the way to fill three gas containers, authorities said.

Linn said in court that he had hauled his truck many times past the domed mosque at the junction of Interstates 75 and 475.

According to Islam, when Zouhary asked Linn if knew any Muslims personally, he replied, "No, I only know what I hear on the radio and see on Fox News." He told the judge that Muslims are "going around killing us," Islam said.

Zouhary told Linn that the attack on the mosque was an attack on all places of religion. "You are no better than the terrorists or extremists you sought to punish," the judge told Linn.

Islam said she believes irresponsible media coverage fanned Linn's hatred and distorted his view of her faith. "My feeling is that the media needs to be more responsible. The combination of ignorance about Muslims and Islam, and hate and alcohol, and then whipping up all of this hatred in the media, is a lethal combination," Islam said.

Damage to the mosque from the blaze and from the building's sprinkler system and firefighters' hoses is estimated at $1.5 million, Islam said, adding that insurance is covering the expenses. Repairs are scheduled to be completed by the end of March. In the meantime, the mosque is holding Friday prayers at a Rossford indoor sports complex – with added security – and the center's Islamic school meets at Owens Community College.

Islam said surveillance cameras showed Linn, wearing a camouflage hat and sweatshirt, walking through the mosque with a pistol in his left hand. He left a beer can in the women's hijab room, she said, before pouring gasoline on the carpet in the main prayer room and igniting it.

"Had somebody been there, I dread to think about what could have happened because he had a gun. If people had been there, it might have been like the [Oak Creek, Wis.] Sikh temple shooting."

The consequences of Muslims in United States after 9/11 attacks created havoc, global war and counter terrorism operations across all Muslim countries. Radical, dogmatic and arrogance gained its impact for Muslims in United States as aftermath consequences of 9/11 attacks and even after ten years of 9/11 attacks world has become totally arrogant towards Muslims. The war in Iraq, regime of President of Iraq, Saddam and dramatic changes in Pakistan were the most potential and significant events in American history. After ten years of 9/11 attacks American Muslims dynamics has created a chaos and negative impact of Muslims in United States. Two most common words “everyone knows” have depicted Muslims in United States as terrorists. “Everyone knows” Muslims are inherently violent and are compelled to be terrorists. Islam is a religion of peace has become a bridge of negativity in United States of America.

9/11 attack consequences gathered the world with so many surprising events. American Muslims who were free and comfortable in American environment are now the signal and target of terror and fear. Killing in Iraq war, then Afghanistan, regimentation of President Saddam were the significant factors after 9/11 attacks. Even after ten years of 9/11 attacks Muslims in United States are spotted for every criminal act. Such situations have misrepresented Muslims and Islam across the globe. This has become a viscous fact after September attacks that Muslims are accused of not speaking up and have become lunatic in their perspectives. After ten years of 9/11 attacks Muslims were suspected as terrorists. The misrepresentation of American Muslims slaughtered their civil rights from United States.

American Muslims are now abused by their civil rights to wrong perception of terror, morals, ethics and religion. American Muslims after September attacks have faced discrimination and racism on basis of their religion. Day to day low level harassment is now common against Muslims. In 2011, a Muslim boy was caught with a knife in his pocket. Only because he was Muslim, on basis of his religion he was suspected as terrorist. Hate, racism and anti religion starts on basis whether they are Muslims or not.  Mosques and other religious places are an easy approach of killing and torturing Muslim society. Mosque is a holy place where Muslims practice their religion and bow their head towards God. During the ten years after September attack mosques and religious places in certain areas of United States have been burnt and damaged.

Aftermaths of 9/11 attacks are though tragic for Muslim countries. Even ten years have been passed still Muslims are suspected as terrorists. In decade of 9/11 nobody has tried to get the real meaning of Muslim. This is indeed tragic and an alarming situation. Islam is a true religion of prosperity and peace. Muslims are not terrorists. They are peace lovers. People have suspected wrong about them.

Breivik verdict: mass murderer declared sane and sentenced to 21 years

Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian far-right extremist, has been sentenced to at least 21 years in prison after a court declared he was sane throughout his murderous rampage last year that killed 77 people.

The Oslo district court declared its verdict that the 33-year-old was not psychotic while carrying out the twin attacks, including the shooting of dozens of teenagers attending a political camp.

The court's decision will have delighted Breivik, who had hoped to avoid what he called the "humiliation" of being dismissed as a madman. The mass killer had desperately hoped the court would find him criminally culpable for the killings, claiming they were "cruel and necessary" to protect Norway from becoming overrun by Muslims.

After two months of deliberations, the five-judge panel told a packed Oslo courtroom that they considered the perpetrator of last year's gun and bomb attacks, the worst in the country's history, mentally fit enough to be held criminally responsible for the attacks, which also left 242 wounded.

Breivik is almost certain to end his life in prison. Although Norway has a maximum prison sentence of 21-years, Breivik could be sentenced to "preventive detention", which can be extended for as long as an inmate is considered dangerous to society.

The verdict of the most high-profile criminal trial in Norway since Nazi collaborators were prosecuted following the second world war is certain to provoke a strong response.

Most Norwegians, including the victims' families, had wanted Breivik to be found sane so he could be held accountable for what they view as a political crime.

EDL thug gets 9 years in prison for racist attack on neighbours

Leeds Crown Court heard how Daniel Smith had 167 previous convictions before he was locked up for 10 further offences today.

The 39-year-old was not present for his sentencing because he was taken back to Armley prison from the court at lunchtime after destroying two toilets in the court cells.

Smith pleaded guilty to charges of burglary, common assault, possessing an offensive weapon and making threats to kill at a hearing in May.

Today, the court heard how on August 26 last year, Smith hurled racist abuse at a family living near him in Victoria Road, Thornhill Lees. He attacked their front door with a knife and eventually broke it down. When inside the house, he threatened to kill the occupants before he was forced back outside.

Sentencing, Judge Guy Kearl QC, said: "They were very real threats, the victims believed, being confronted in their house by a man who they believed was going to kill them."

Smith was sentenced to nine years in prison and given a restraining order banning him from having any contact with family or entering Victoria Road.

Three years for Facebook riot posts

A man who used Facebook to try to incite violence and urged others to attack the police and Muslims during the height of last summer's riots was jailed for three years today.

A jury took less than two hours to find Mitchell Stancombe, 21, guilty of encouraging and assisting people to commit violent disorder.

He made three posts on his personal page of the social networking site on August 9 starting with the words: "When are we going to start the Southampton riots then?" When told to shut up by a friend, he replied: "LOL - do a few coppers in."

He then made another post, which said: "f*** them. Hardly can do f*** all if we get loads together and have a right go. And why we are at it - the muslim revolt: give it to those c***s as well."

The posts, which could be accessed by anyone, were made during widespread rioting in Birmingham, Manchester, Derby, London and Liverpool.

Stancombe, from Totton near Southampton, denied the charge under section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.
