Controversial anti-Islamic Dutch MP Geert Wilders will face protests from Muslims and others in Melbourne next month.
The Baillieu Government has also warned that Mr Wilders could fall foul of the state's hate speech laws if he incites tensions.
Mr Wilders had been due to visit Australia last year but had to postpone the trip following delays in processing his visa.
He opposes the "Islamisation" of the Netherlands and has called for the banning of the Koran, which he equates with Adolf Hitler's autobiography Mein Kampf.
Mr Wilders was invited to Australia by a nationalist group called the Q Society.
A meeting is planned for Melbourne on February 19, and there are appearance dates in Sydney and Perth.
Islamic Friendship Association president Keysar Trad said he had been approached by Leftist groups about protests against the Right-wing politician.
Q Society spokesman Andrew Horwood said details of meetings would be released with only 48 hours' notice, for security reasons.
"We feel strongly that as a democracy we can't not talk about things because of the threat of violence," he said.
Mr Horwood said Islam was unlike any other religion, and his organisation was concerned that Australia, like Europe, was changing as Muslim numbers grew.
Victorian Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship Minister Nick Kotsiras said Mr Wilders had the right to free speech, subject to the state's racial and religious vilification laws.
Islam is a religion of peace and it teaches us to respect all other religions and their followers. History gives us many proofs that Muslims have always respected the religions of others. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said in his last summon that no one will harm the religious places of the non-Muslims, and every non-Muslim will be free to move around and follow his religion. Then, why do non-Muslims all over the world victimize the Muslims and disrespect Islam? It is the utmost duty of a Muslim to protest strongly whenever they see any offensive activity against their Prophet (PBUH), and defend their religion in the best possible way. History shows that Muslims have always been living in peace with non-Muslims.
Presently, Muslims are aggressive all over the world in response to an act of offense by a non-Muslim. Muslims are destroying public property, and even taking lives of innocent people in their rage. This is a very wrong way of protesting and Islam does not recommend us to do this, because by doing so Muslims are depicting a wrong image of themselves. Some political parties do it on purpose, as they know that the Muslims will react aggressively and turn violent. Muslims should understand the reasons for such offenses being committed, and in order to eradicate the problem they should find a peaceful solution to the problem.
The Muslim governments should take strict actions and all the Muslims countries should unite and file a petition in the UN to pass laws in which any offense against any religion should be regarded as a crime and any person who condones such activities should be punished severely. Muslims should learn the basic knowledge of Islam and should start preaching their religion, to create a better understanding among people. Muslims should work on an international level to promote unity among the Muslim nations. Because, getting violent and damaging property are not the solutions, rather unity among the Muslims and peaceful preaching is the solution to the problem.
Last week on Friday, Pakistani government announced holiday to celebrate “Love of Prophet Day” . As the day started it was peaceful and claim. It was all peaceful till 1 o’clock but after 1 o’clock after people offered their Friday Prayers don’t know what had happened to the Pakistani people. All rush towards the red zones and everyone was like charged and was like in hunger to break the laws. There were around twenty to thirty thousands of people on road and we saw that Police men were not enough for them. They were wild and they started to break, burn, shut whatever they found in their way. None of the Muslim Ulimah, Mosque Imam or any Islamic Scholar approved that. None of them guided them to do it. Even Islam doesn’t approve it. Our Prophet who was stoned by the people of ‘Taif’ of that time and an Arch Angel Gabriel visited Him and asked Him if he crushed them if He wants but what our beloved Prophet replied? He made the Dua for them in return He didn’t said anything bad to them neither does He said the Angel,Yes go on, they hurted me go and destroy them NO! Not at all. He was the Messenger of Allah and He was the mercy for whole mankind as mention by Allah in the Holy Quran. These are the words of our Holy Prophet when people stoned the Prophet and Angel was asking for his reply in return to destroy them,
“O Allah! I complain to You of my weakness, my scarcity of resources and my humiliation before the people. O Most Merciful of those who are merciful. O Lord of the weak and my Lord too. To whom have you entrusted me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy to whom you have granted authority over my affair? So long as You are not angry with me, I do not care. Your favor is of more abundance to me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Your anger or your displeasure descend upon me. I desire your pleasure and satisfaction until you are pleased. There is no power and no might except by You.”
This what our Holy Prophet replied, so what happened to the Pakistani people on that day? Was that the love of our Prophet that what did they showed on that day? I don’t think so, that was not even the 5% love for our Prophet. All those people were just satisfying themselves that they are the true believers and lovers of the Holy Prophet while they weren’t even liked by the Prophet cause such illiterate act is not what Allah, Prophet Mohammad (Peace be Upon Him) and Islam approved.

Qatar has announced that it is investing $450 million USD in a three-part epic that depicts the life of Prophet Mohammad. Ali Goma, the grand mufti of Egypt urged Muslims to “follow the Prophet’s example of enduring insults without retaliating” and reportedly is looking at launching an international campaign under the motto, ‘Know Mohammad,’ to explain Islam to the non-Muslim world.”

Salafis in Egypt could succeed in pressuring the Muslim Brotherhood to include a ban on blasphemy in the drafting of the country’s new constitution. A similar provision has already been included in the draft Tunisian constitution. Saudi grand mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh and the grand imam of Cairo’s Al Azhar University, Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb, called separately for the criminalization of all insults of religious prophets and messengers.”
Americans and Muslims both agree that the movie was an extremely horrible representation of the Muslim faith. The average American would never disrespect the Muslim religion the way these filmmakers did, the same way we hope no one disrespects us or our beliefs. Its the actions and thoughts of close-minded people like the producers of “Innocence of Muslims” who ruin the images of both Americans and Muslims.

Such humiliation done by this American movie activity provoked Muslim world to stand up and united against this piece of non-sense., this hurt Muslims not emotionally but also aesthetically. Libya during the outbreak in the Middle East violence that damaged the anniversary 9/11
“We can confirm that our office in Benghazi, Libya, has been attacked by a group of militants. We are working with the Libyans now to secure the compound,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said in a statement. “We condemn in strongest terms this attack on our diplomatic mission.”

Police have spent £200,000 supervising protests against plans to turn a disused Scout hut into a community centre. The cost of the operation in Thurnby Lodge, Leicester, is rising daily as discussions continue to resolve the building's future.
Officers from city stations and as far afield as Hinckley and Coalville have had to be redeployed from their normal duties to oversee regular protests – occasionally lasting late into the night – against a plan by the Muslim group As-Salaam Trust to convert the Nursery Road building into a community centre.
The protests, which began early last month, have taken place outside the nearby community centre in Thurncourt Road, where members of As-Salaam have been meeting for the past two-and-a-half years.
It's an unlikely setting for an ongoing night-after-night street protest.
However, hundreds of people have been gathering in Thurncourt Road, on Leicester's Thurnby Lodge estate, for some weeks now to protest against an Islamic charity's plan to turn a disused Scout hut into a community centre and prayer room.
On Friday, the number of people taking part swelled towards the 400 mark – with about 50 police officers there to oversee it.
BNP leader Nick Griffin made an impromptu appearance on Friday evening and, reportedly, again yesterday morning. According to eyewitnesses he was greeted with indifference.
Another issue which has arisen is that unfounded rumours have begun circulating through the internet. These include a claim that the neighbouring Anglican Christ Church had been asked to cover its cross for fear of offending Muslims.
Canon David Monteith, Acting Archdeacon of Leicester, said: "There is no truth at all in the malicious rumour that the church was asked to cover the cross. The information is totally unfounded."
Last night's protest on Thurnby Lodge estate – spot the fascistA series of late-night protests have been staged against a faith group's plan to convert a disused Scout hut in Leicester into a community centre.
Dozens of police have been stationed in Thurnby Lodge estate for the past few nights to oversee the peaceful demonstrations, which at their height have attracted up to 150 people.
Residents said they were angry the former Scout hut in Nursery Road looked likely to become a community centre operated by Islamic charity the As-Salaam Trust.
They would like the building, which has been empty for several years, to be developed for the wider community. They are also concerned about extra traffic the centre might create.
Opponents have held their protests outside the estate's main community centre, in Thurncourt Road, where As-Salaam's members have been meeting for prayers for the past two-and-a-half years. They said the city council had not asked them for their views on the future use of the Scout hut. Some support a proposal to set up a boxing club in the building.
Maxine Williams, manager of the Stirrup Cup pub, has been taking part in the demonstrations. She said: "People are protesting because they feel that they have not been consulted and that the council has handed the keys to the Scout hut to As-Salaam. There is a lot of concern about the amount of traffic that it will bring and that people's peace will be shattered."
City mayor Sir Peter Soulsby was due to meet a group of residents today. He said: "As-Salaam has been meeting in the area for some time and was looking for a permanent home. "If the people who are interested in opening a boxing club can establish themselves, we will help them find suitable premises. "However, our view was they were a long way from being in a position to take this building on."
Mohammed Lockhat, As-Salaam's imam, said: "If we could sit down together and talk, we would be able to understand each other better. "People have said they are concerned about traffic, but most of the people would be walking to the Scout hut because they live here."
The Scout Association told the city council in September last year that it wanted to end its lease of the hut. The council said it then contacted more than 100 community groups which had told it they were looking for premises.
Of the groups that expressed an interest, As Salaam was the only one that could meet the lease criteria agreed with the Scout Association, the council said in a leaflet which was delivered to homes on the estate last week.
A police spokeswoman said: "The police have a legal duty to facilitate a peaceful protest and have no powers to stop a demonstration."
Protests by the English Defence League (EDL) and Unite Against Fascism (UAF) in Luton have ended without major incident amid a huge police presence.
About 1,500 EDL supporters and 1,000 UAF protesters were involved in the protests. There were seven arrests. Officers said the arrests were for weapons offences and assault.
Both groups took part in a one-mile (1.6km) march earlier. The EDL supporters marched from High Town Road to St Georges Square, while the UAF group marched between Bury Park Road and Market Hill. Speeches were given in both squares, which are about half a mile apart, from about 1345 GMT.
Before the protest began, 150 UAF demonstrators linked hands at the railway station to prevent EDL supporters entering the town. The EDL group chanted "Muslim bombers off our streets" and held banners aloft, some of which read "No more mosques".
Speaking at the UAF counter-rally, Labour MEP Richard Howitt said: "The message to the EDL is clear: This is not your home, you are not welcome here."
The British Freedom Party has announced the already leaked news that EDL leaders Stephen Lennon and Kevin Carroll have accepted positions in the BFP (though the planned press conference was cancelled). They will share the role of Vice Chairman. The BFP declares that this is a "historic development" which "establishes British Freedom as a new force in British politics".
