Denial by Taliban on Boston Attacks

on Thursday, April 25, 2013

There have been rumors that the Taliban could be one of the sources that are behind the Boston marathon attacks, but the picture was cleared when Taliban stated that they have nothing to do with the Boston attacks. One of the Spokesmen added that they do have intentions to hit America but this time the attacks were not planned by them.

Taliban have always tried to kill Americans but they have also targeted the allies of the Americans as they think that their allies are equally responsible for what America does. They are of the opinion that America has always been anti-Islam, and that is the reason America started wars against them in Afghanistan and then in Iran.

The spokesman added quite firmly that it should not be assumed that if we are not responsible for such attacks in Boston, we will stop planning against the America. He also said that they will have the definite attack on America whenever they have the chance.

Due to the attacks in Boston, all of the major cities are on high alert, and heavy measurements are taken all over the cities so that any terrorist attack could be avoided. The people of America still can’t forget about what had happened on September 11, and that is why America is terrified with the bombs that exploded in the marathon. Whoever could be behind this attack but the major purpose was to target a large number of people. Fortunately, there was not a high amount of damage done and a few of the bombs were exploded, according to the police department. It is believed that these terrorists will try to have these types of attacks again, that is why most of the cities in America are on high alert and the people were told to be vigilant about the fact that these terrorists could be anywhere in America.

According to the statement given by Taliban, they have taken the responsibility of the time square attacks in 2010. Also, according to this statement, a Pakistani was involved in those attacks. Later, the police held that Pakistani into custody and was given a statement of a life time prison.

After some time, Taliban denied that they have hired Shehzad to do the bombings for them. The twist in the story came on later when during the trial, Shehzad confessed that he was given training by Taliban, and he showed some videos in which he met Hakim Ullah Mehsud who convinced him to attack the United States of America.

Judge Rules in Favor of American Taliban Fighter: Allowed to Pray in Congregation in Prison

on Saturday, January 12, 2013

On Friday, Federal Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson ruled that an American who was convicted of fighting with the Taliban should be allowed to pray in congregation everyday within the premises of the high security prison. John Walker Lindh joined a suit initiated by two other prisoners against the prison authorities, arguing that not allowing him to pray violated a federal law that disallowed the government from limiting religious speech without showing a compelling interest.

Although the court accepted the argument that such arrangements for daily prayers five times a day were only possible in cases where security was not a concern, they said that the government had failed to prove that allowing prisoners to leave their cells to pray was causing a reasonable security concern. Other inmates were permitted to pray in congregation on special religious events, and no incidents of trouble had ever been reported.

The losing party intends to appeal the decision, claiming that Judge Magnus-Stinson’s verdict would have a massive impact on prison security all over America. Joe Hogsett, the legal representative of the prison facility argued, “This case deals with critically important issues that have significance both inside and outside the walls of our federal prison facilities. Our concern continues to be the safety and security of both our federal prison system and the United States of America.”

Lindh argued that Islam requires him to pray five times a day in congregation, and the prison’s ban was interfering with his right to practice his religion freely. Praying alone in his cell, he argued, was not permitted according to the school of Islam that he adheres to. Although officials from the prison facility said that such a verdict would have to be extended to all prisoners, the court was not in favor of curtailing the right of prisoners to practice their religion. One of the arguments brought forward by the state in the trial was that Muslim inmates use religion as a cover to carry out gang-like activities. The court rejected this plea on a lack of evidence.

Even though people in prisons in the United States do not have all rights guaranteed by the constitution, they are guaranteed a number of rights by the Constitution as well as federal and state laws. Judge Mangus-Stinson’s verdict is not the first protecting the religious freedom of convicts in the United States. In Mayweathers v. Newland, the court sought an injunction to stop a corrections facility from disciplining a Muslim inmate who missed work because he was attending Friday prayers.

He was among the top rated leader that has been killed in drone attack in Pakistan. Mulla Nazir is associated with training of fighters and send them to Afghanistan to fight against American troops and NATO. Girls’ Education More Frightful for Taliban than Drone Attacks

on Thursday, December 20, 2012

Most of the Taliban who claim to be the Muslims belong to Pashtunes Society. Islam always supports the education whether it be for boys or girls. According to a hadith of Muhammad (S.A.W.), it is essential for a Muslim, either a male or female, to get the proper education. Islam also says that a scholar is much better than a spiritual person. So it is clear that Islam promotes education. Then the question arises as to what the reason is to oppose female education by the Taliban. Perhaps it may be the Pashtunes tradition and customs. The Pashtunes mother produces the son to send to the wars and he practices war training in his childhood. A Pashtune daughter is to stay at home and help her mother with the household work.

All these stories seem to be rumors about the Pashtunes when we see the reality in the area. There are a lot of schools and colleges in the tribal areas, mostly the Swat. Swat could have been declared as the education capital of Pakistan due to the presence of the medical and law colleges including nursing and computer schools. Also, there are hundreds of informal beauty schools that offer on-the-job training for the poor girls who cannot afford other types of education. The presence of such types of schools does not support the theory that Pashtunes are against education.

The reality is that there are different groups of the Pashtunes, some are in favor of education, and some are against it. Both are part of the Taliban militants. The Talibans who are against education do not send their children to schools. They claim that education for girls is the tradition of the Western people to favor secularism. So they are more frightened from the female education than even the drone attacks. They think that the traditions are much more important than their lives. So they also have destroyed many schools and colleges present in the area. Actually, they are supported by the uncivilized and uneducated people using the name of Islam. So, they fear from the fact that due to education, people will become civilized and there will be no support for them in the local area.

Education is important for both men and women because it makes the people confident, civilized and  professional. It is a fact that only educated women can better handle problems. Therefore, we cannot deprive women from education because it is their basic right. The progress of any nation or country is not possible without women being educated. It is most important to stop the anti-education activities of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Afghan Terrorism, Taliban and CNN

on Monday, December 10, 2012

Over the past few years, the casualties have increased to an enormous amount in Afghanistan. These causalities include the U.S. and Afghani soldiers, including the innocent people. The series of attacks started again when the NATO troops turned over the security responsibility of Nangarhar to Afghani forces. The most recent was reported in the Jalalabad air field, where a car suicide attack took place on a U.S.-Afghan base. The target in this case was to hit the militants. The soldiers were wearing coalition uniforms.

The attack was done on Sunday, shortly before sunrise. The reports were conflicting over the number of casualties that actually occurred. According to the ISAF, the explosions resulted in one soldier’s death and several soldiers injured but according to the officials, this attack has resulted in five casualties including three afghan soldiers and two civilians. The attack was done at three different points at the base near the Jalalabad Airfield.

The first car bomb was detonated early in the morning at 5 am at the front gate of the base. The second bomb was detonated when insurgents performed a car blast, then the U.S.–Afghan troops opened fire. A third car bomb was detonated outside the base’s perimeters.

The Central News Network is one of the most reliable news network in the world and many other news networks use CNN as a reference. CNN is one of the oldest and most reliable networks in the media. A CNN reporter interviewed the eye witness of this blast and, according to him, at least 14 Afghan soldiers and four civilians were wounded in the blast. All three bombers and six gunmen were killed in the counter attack. The Taliban spokesman claimed the responsibility when he gave a call to CNN. He also confirmed the twenty casualties of the U.S.-Afghan troops. Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, also sent an e-mail to CNN and affirmed the same information regarding the suicide attack on the base.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which is a border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, is a home to a number of terrorist groups, including members of the Haqqani Network. This area is also considered a residence for the suicide bombers and the insurgents in this attack. The number of violations is increasing in Afghanistan day by day and the condition has become very severe for the U.S. It is reported that thousands of NATO soldiers have been killed in this war. Similarly, thousands are injured and have become physically disabled. Therefore, the Afghan war has become a serious problem and headache for the U.S. and NATO forces. According to a report by the media, the U.S. has failed to achieve its targets and goals in Afghanistan. The U.S. has spent billions of dollars in this war, but there is no result. The Taliban are still occupying 70 percent of the area of Afghanistan. This figure shows the reality of the Afghan war and defeat of the U.S. It is a fact that the U.S. is putting forth a great effort to create peace in Afghanistan, but the condition has become out of control.

Imperative information about war on terror against Taliban

on Tuesday, October 30, 2012

The war on terror, also known as the war on terrorism or the global war on terror, is an international military operation led by the United Kingdom and the United States. It is supported by the NATO and other non NATO countries. Initially, the campaign was conducted in order to eliminate the famous terror group al-Qaeda, which had indulged in many attacks of innocent lives. However, as the operation continued, it was discovered that the group had links with other insurgent organizations such as, al-Shabab and the Taliban. The first person to lead the operation against terrorism was George W. Bush, who encouraged many political, legal and military leaders to come together in order to eliminate these organizations completely.

Over the years, terrorism in Pakistan has been on the increase and has carried with it much destruction to the society. This is evident from the rise in the number of deaths in recent years. According to the Pakistan government, the war against these insurgent groups has cost the country over $68 billion. All the presidents who served the country have admitted that a lot of people have suffered the consequences. Many tactics have been employed to eliminate the Taliban group. The Pakistan government states that the main causal factors of terrorism in the country are the sectarian or religious violence, and nurturing of the terrorist proxies. The political leaders are following a strategy similar to a dictatorship to sweep off these insurgent groups. These insurgent groups operate both in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Two of the leading countries in the war against the insurgent groups are the USA and the United Kingdom. These two countries have provided their military soldiers, to assist the Pakistan government in their efforts to wipe out extremist groups in the country. Though, both United States and Pakistan have some common objectives and goals, they differ in terms of their priorities. United States declared war on these illegal groups after the September attacks. Since then, they have vowed to destroy the entire terrorist groups across the globe. Pakistan, on the other hand, has been struggling in fighting both the Indians and the Taliban at the same time. Possibly, the Taliban may have developed due to the fight between the Indians and the Pakistanis. The war started as a cold war after both countries became independent of the Britain regime, which left many people dead.

NATO has set up base near the Pakistan border, to conduct military operations against the Taliban and any other extremist group. This has been confirmed by many people who move across the Afghan towns such as, the Naushki, Shorawak, and Sar Lath; they reported having heard heavy gun fire at a distance. This proves that many nations are on a mission to eliminate the Taliban.

Taliban to provide security to Imran khan?

on Saturday, October 6, 2012

Taliban to provide security to Imran khan?

The most controversial news doing rounds is of Taliban providing security to Imran khan in his rally in Waziristan. But Imran khan is denying all such reports as its going to be a peace march against the CIA drone attacks which are constantly taking place in Waziristan over the years and no government is taking any serious actions regarding them.

While talking about the provision of security is concerned, A Taliban spokesperson said, “We are ready to provide them security if they need. We endorse Imran Khan’s plea that drone strikes are against our sovereignty. The anti-drone rallies should have been taken out by the religious leaders long ago but Imran had taken the lead and we would not harm him or his followers.”

But rubbishing the news, the PTI chief had said in a press conference that “Mehsud, Burki and Bhittani tribes of Waziristan had assured him of providing security to participants of the rally.”

Said a reporter “The military has been in the hold-mode and since the launch of its Operation Rah-i-Nijat in October 2009, the 2,419 square-kilometre area in the Mahsud territory officially remains a conflict zone, facing 1,144 incidents of fire-raids, rocket and mortar attacks and roadside bombings in 2011. Such attacks continue unabated with the military continuing to sustain casualties.

The entire Mahsud population was flushed out and displaced. Out of the approximately 350,00 Mahsuds, only 40,000 or so have so far volunteered to return after thorough screening and verification. The standing joke among the Mahsuds is that there are now more soldiers in their land than their fellow tribesmen.

It has been three years since the military entered South Waziristan but even now those entering the Mahsud land are required to get a ‘rahdari’ duly attested by two tribal elders and the political administration.”

All the above mentioned hindrance is not blocking the ideas and beliefs sof Imran khan who has strong faith in Almighty Allah — the merciful and the beneficent, Imran khan is still going into the region as the losses being made in those areas are costing the live s of our very own people “Imran khan is of the view that there is acorrelation between drone attacks and suicide bombings as such kind of violence started after the first drone strike in 2004. The fact is that there were 413 incidents of violence including 11 suicide bombings before the first drone strike. Terrorist activities have little or no link with drones. In 2009, there were 53 drone attacks and the casualties in the war on terror were 11,704 while in 2010, the number of strikes increased to 117 but the causalities decreased to 7,435.”

Taliban has denied from providing any security to the PTI and any persons going along with him, in fact it’s more challenging now to reach those areas and wide spread the message across the country that we need to get out of war of America which is killing our innocent people brutally. Taliban are not providing any security is made clear by the members and the chief of PTI in a press conference held recently.

Taliban and U.S. forces clashes

on Wednesday, September 19, 2012

After the recent series of conflicts, Taliban have been bouncing back to U.S. forces and attacking them. Muslims in Afghanistan have been facing several hardships in past many many years; U.S. forces invaded and destroyed the already existent setup which had been prevailing in Afghanistan. But U.S. has also taken measures to build and transform the entire region and made equip mentally strong and efficient.

The recent killings of 9 women while they were working on mountains to collect firewood had been brutally killed down by U.S. forces. These women were of different age groups and left their families in great shock. This activity angered Taliban and Muslim of Afghanistan who have been bouncing back to the U.S. forces.

U.S. forces and the NATO forces believe that Taliban commanders are driving their suicide bombers towards the locations like U.S. embassies and well-fortified NATO bases to break them down with several attacks. U.S. forces believe that Taliban are showcasing desperation and have begun killing their forces.

“Insurgent leaders, they say, have redoubled a campaign to assassinate key Afghan government and security officials who are likely to play leadership roles in the country once foreign troops depart. And by happenstance or meticulous planning — U.S. military officials are not sure which — the Taliban has managed to kill numerous Western troops by joining the ranks of the Afghan army.

“The Taliban are fighting a political war while the United States and its allies are still fighting a tactical military war,” said Joshua Foust, a former U.S. intelligence analyst who has worked in Afghanistan and is now a fellow with the American Security Project. “We remain focused on terrain. They are focused on attacking the transition process and seizing the narrative of victory.”

U.S. officials say that they are planning on the setting up of new plans to protect their forces from the further attacks. Previously, U.S. official expressed their ideas about the finishing this quarrel and said that U.S. and Afghan forces must not fight between themselves as it will distract the both teams from their desired goals. Moreover, U.S. and NATO coalition partners have decided to leave Afghanistan before 2014. They both should behave in a cordial manner and let these fights reach an end. U.S. and NATO have decided to hand over the national security into the hands of Afghan forces which have been trained by them so that once they leave Afghan forces must fulfill their requirements themselves.

After the making of an anti-Islam film in America, there are more likely to be having attacks on U.S. forces and NATO by Afghan forces. Already, there have been several attacks conducts on the American forces by the people of Afghanistan but the anti-Islam film surely will be another reason for the further attacks on American forces.

The officials said the operational commander will probably ease the restrictions in coming days if tensions over the video subside.

“Protecting the force for the moment protects the mission and the campaign later,” said a senior U.S. official in Kabul, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal military decision-making

Les Taliban Pakistanais Menace d’Attaquer la Birmanie

on Friday, July 27, 2012
