The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Bekir Bozdag, said in a statement on an Iftar ceremony that Muslim countries are the most countries suffering from injustice and discrimination in many parts of the world.

The Deputy Prime Minister said his statement in this religious event held by the Islamic Affairs Administration in Ankara in the attendance of Directorate of Religious Affairs President Mehmet Gormez and the ambassadors of Islamic countries.

In Bekir Bozdag opinion, Muslims are suffering from the worst forms of persecution, murder, abuse and oppression practiced against them. Bozdag stressed that the Western world is silent about what is happening in the Muslim countries. He further showed that Turkey supports the Muslim brothers in Syria, Burma and everywhere in the world, who are being killed and abused daily.

Bekir Bozdag said that some Muslim countries are witnessing the fall of bombs on the heads of Muslims, as what happens in Afghanistan and Pakistan, while in other areas of the world Muslims are being mass killed and displaced for just one reason that they are on a different religion, for example they are not Buddhists like what is happening in Myanmar “Burma”.

Moreover, there is a great injustice located in Syria where civilians Muslims including women and children and elders are killed. Bekir Bozdag reminded the UN Secretary-General of the apology he had to address to the Bosnians on behalf of the United Nations. Bozdag said “We hope that UN Presidents will not have to apologize for the Syrians for having failed to prevent the killings in Syria after 20 years.’’

He added that unfortunately the United Nations again keeps silent over the killings and that the international community remains deaf and blind on those issues.

Finally, the President of the Religious Affairs Administration Mehmet Gormez said they pray for the Muslims in Syrian and Burma.

‘’Radikal’’ the Turkish newspapers has reported on Saturday, the 28^th of July that the Turkish army has set up missile bases on the distance of 13 kilometers from the town of “Nisibis” – Nusaybin- in “Mardin” province at the southeast of Turkey.

The newspaper added that the move came in anticipation of any possible missile attack from Syria after the ongoing tension between the two countries.

The Turkish officials have always stressed that other Muslims should not be indifferent to what is happening to its neighbors such as famine, poverty and terrorism. Bozdag once said that Islam is the religion of peace. Women’s and children’s rights, equality, law and solidarity are the basic rules in Islam.

Muslims killing in Burma is increasing day by day and on every  social media outlet everyone talking about it. The most shocking thing everyone notices and questioned that why the media observing a criminal silence on this issue? Not only the western world but also the Muslim countries are silent where media even made the minor issue a big chaos for higher viewership. The stories of the merciless killings of Burmese Muslims at the hands of livid Buddhist rabbles and the Burmese Army are heart taking. According to reports, more than 20,000 Muslims have been killed only this month in Myanmar by police, army and Buddhist extremists.

The agitation aroused after the killing of 10 Muslims who were burned alive in a bus after the news of gang raped of Buddhist woman, who died after the incident. The Burmese army was also accused of torching more than 500 villages in Burma. The amazing thing is the United Nations and other human right agencies role is also not visible. Muslim organizations in diverse countries are raising questions on human rights organizations, the United Nations for ignoring this issue and observing criminal silence. They also continually ask the Muslim world why it has stayed insensitive by Muslim genocide.

This unrest on ethnic basis is in Burma from the last one century where Muslims living as minority without having any citizenship rights. They were denied as a being citizens of Burma and the neighbor Muslim country Bangladesh closed their borders on them as well.  Other minority groups as Christians also not recognized in Burma. There are clear violations of rights and recognition in Burma regarding minorities.

The role of UN is very important as the UN should come forward and put force on the Burmese government to grant Christian and Muslim minorities equal citizenship status as that which Buddhist citizens enjoy. There should be some solid moves from the side of government so as the majority should not destroy the minority’s rights. This leads to the peaceful Burma state and also protects the Muslims right over there. The Muslim countries should raise voice on the brutal killing of Muslims as well as media to help the needy Burmese Muslims and stop the innocent killings over there.
