Pakistani Children are facing a new dilemma in regards to their educational life. Even the children in the rudimentary class of the nursery are not free from the cumbersome experience of having to deal with this predicament. That being said, the dilemma in question is the one related to the extravagant and excessive loading of the school bags worn by these unfortunate children. The weight itself is appalling and astonishingly dense. It makes one wonder as to how these fragile children can keep upright with this entire burden, not to mention the ordeal and the strain that this load placed on their backs.

The list of books and other such relative accoutrements for a child in any phase of his educational life is long and tedious dense.

If one pays close consideration and attention, then two aspects can be noticed while procuring items for a child’s school. One needs to establish and set up a certain approach to ensure the timely dropping off and picking up of the child from the school. It is a probability that the parent would have to perform the said tasks by his own self. There, he may notice that the weight of the school bag being worn by his child as well as the other children far exceeds their own weight. Many children would be bending backwards to balance and balance this load. This surely makes one ponder the question of this being a monumental penalty or not.

At present, there is no consideration or assessment being spared by any authority on this most inhumane and callous of acts towards children. There is a strong possibility that these overloaded children will suffer from complications and severe deformities of the vertebrae and health, if the problem mentioned herewith is left unchecked.

The children are not yet brawny enough to bear this heavy weight. It should be noted that these young children of mere two and a half to three years of age have to go through about 12 books and copies on a daily basis. Is this justice upon the poor little darlings?

Another fact that directly violates consumer rights is the designation of particular and specific bookshops and uniform outlets by the schools. The books published are priced extravagantly by the publishers, and the customer is not even provided the liberty to purchase these books from the local market. They have to be procured from certain designated outlets and bookstores. This needs to be done frequently as well because many of these books are not made available for purchase upon a single visit to these bookstores.

The notion of Play groups may have been incorporated in order to provide parents with some peace of mind and relief from tension. However, lately these ventures have become notable for imposing unjust expenditures and excessive burden on children.

On a more optimistic and brighter note, these centers give homework to children which inculcates and nurtures a sense of learning, for both the children and the supervising parents, as well.

In conclusion, these are matters that require the utmost minute and highly prioritized attention as soon as possible.

A man with history of violence killed six children in a twisted plot that went wrong. Mike Philpott condemned on Tuesday April 3, 2013 of killing six children in an evil, shameful and stupid act as a part of an effort to enclose an ex-lover who had taunted to disobey him.

Mike Philpot, 56, Mike’s wife Mairead, 31 and a friend of Mairead involved in this twisted plot, Paul Mosley, 46 were all convicted of unlawful death after setting on fire their Debry home and meaning to blame on Philpott ex- lover who left him.

Violent heat and burn surrounded the home leading to the death of six children including the son of Mairead from a past relationship and five of Philpott’s children. On the night of fire, neighbors tried to save the children from fire but they were forced back by the high flames and smoke of the burning home. After fire, when the dead bodies of six children were carried out from the burned house by police, Philpott ran onward and had to be unemotional.

Assistant Chief Constable of Derbyshire police, Steve Cotterill said: This was shameful, an evil and stupid act which has resulted in the death of the six children, five of his own. This act is very shameful and upsetting even for me. He further said: I am really angry at the needless loss of six lives.

Unlawful death of six little kids frightened the people. Five vacant chairs at the primary school on Monday morning not only horrendous the teaching staff but other little kids, as well. The jury was not told that few years ago, Philpott had a past conviction in the year 1978 for attempting to kill a woman who refused staying with him. Philpott such hold on the woman led to the death of total six children including five of his own. Philpott had five children from his five life partners and forced women to handover money to himself.

It is said that Philpott also exploited public sympathy after the fire to get advantage from the money donated for the funerals of the six children including Jade, 10, Jayden, 5, John, 9, Jesse, 6, Jack, 8 and Duwayne, 13.

The families of Mike Philpott and Mairead Philpott said that justice has been served, and they were happy with the verdict. Sister of Philpott Dawn Bestwick said that my family members and I attended the court each and every day and listened to all the evidence objectively and understand that what happened to the six beautiful children on May 11, 2012. She further said that, the main purpose and objective of our presence in the court was to find out the reality and the truth behind this evil, shameful act. Following the verdict of the court, Philpott family is happy that justice has been served.

Some days after the death of the six children, Philpott gave a crying speech to media acting like an excited child rather than a sorrow suffering parent.

A lot has been said and written about fictitious superhero movies marking a negative impact on kids. Reason being that a child’s brain, being in its nascence can easily start believing the otherwise unreal stories and getting caught up in them. So is the common belief.

Let’s roll back a little and see… do they really? Why not think of it from the positive side, of course everything that has an upside has a downside too –it’s just how we look at it. Referring to the first paragraph since at a younger age the brain of a child is under development, its learning new things, finding out what he didn’t before; isn’t it just the right time to introduce the child to “imagination”? It is often quoted that imagination is like a muscle that needs to be used, and what could be a better time for a human brain to use this muscle than the time of youth.

Let me state two factual findings in front of you: One, human beings are best at learning during their childhoods. Two, it is very tough to hold a child’s attention if the subject is not interesting enough for him/her. Now if, we look at the aforementioned together, with a little twist of the mind one comes to the conclusion that children should be presented to things that they are interested in & then add learning elements to that thing. Looking at the statistics, there remains no doubt that kids love superheroes! Instead of being a skeptical about it, we should realize the need to engineer the subject into a less damaging and more beneficial thing.

Apart from the fact that topics like such can be a profitable aid in a child’s learning process, we should also acknowledge that they are a learning source. For example, when children would watch a positivity focused superhero like the Superman or the Batman, they would most definitely pick up the superhero’s basic traits, i.e. bravery, honesty and care. Putting ourselves in a child’s shoe we would also find that movies would help them learn other skills, like communication, socializing and whatnot.

That being said about the upside, we must also stay aware of the downside –movies nowadays do not always portray positive characters that could be taken as ideals; for example the Spiderman from its third movie shows an utterly villainous character inside a person that most of our children have come to dote. In order for things like these to be used in the best interests of the kids we must ensure that such issues are handled. A tamed mode of movie making for the purpose of children’s entertainment can surely become their greatest source of learning if used in the right way.

Islam is a religion that makes things clear. It puts into practice what us as people ‘biologically’ already know what to do, but sometimes fall short of. It is a guide for us.

My reason for stating this is because I want to address the responsibilities of children towards their parents. I will focus on the difference between the non-Muslim and the Muslim world.

In today’s society, it’s beyond obvious how children treat their parents. You have TV shows like “Super Nanny,” where parents can’t handle how their children behave, so they ask others and go out of their homes, for extra help.

You have another show, called “World’s Strictest Parents” in this TV program parents push teenagers to live with “strict parents” for a week in the hopes that they’ll change.

It’s all in the media. You literally see this awful disrespect EVERYWHERE. What does this say about us as people? Where are we headed?

For one thing, you can blame the parents for allowing disrespect at an early age, often resulting in worst behavior as the children get older. You can also blame the parents for the abnormal (what is the ‘norm’, now) environments where they allow their kids to grow up. You can pretty much put the blame on a lot of things, and a lot of people. And while blame might be the easiest route, it’s not the smartest.

What society is lacking today has everything to do with the absence  of morals, decency, and Islam. Point blank.
Not every Muslim is perfect. Heck, not every human is perfect. Non of us is perfect but Islam is perfect. If we all were to practice the rules of Islam, we would be MUCH better off.

I’m not saying that every non-Muslim is disrespectful to their parents. That’s actually far from what I’m saying. What I’m saying is, the morality of the world has died. You see it on the TV and in movies all the time. If people followed the rules of Islam, they would live a new life.

Without further due, I now present to you, the responsibilities of children towards their parents according to Islam (all of these things are rooted in your biological thinking.)

Allah says in Surat Al-Israa verse 23: The Lord has decreed that you worship only Him, and be kind to your Parents.  If one or both of them is old, say not to them a word of contempt, and not to repel them, but a Muslim should address them in terms of honor.

As you can see, Allah puts a strong emphasis on how we should treat our parents. God makes it very clear how He wants us to treat our parents. He’s even taught us through our Last Messenger (PBUH).

Here are some Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) :

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “The pleasure of Allah lies in the pleasure of one’s parents and His wrath lies in their wrath.”

Abu Hurairah (May Allah SWT be pleased with him) reported: A person came to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and asked, “Who among people is most deserving of my fine treatment?” He (PBUH) said, “Your mother”. He again asked, “Who next?” “Your mother”, the Prophet (PBUH) replied again. He asked, “Who next? ” He (the Prophet (PBUH)) said again, “Your mother.” He again asked, “Then who? ” Thereupon he (PBUH) said ” Then your father.”

We as people should realize the status of our Parents, and treat them the way they SHOULD be treated.
Children should not raise their voice towards their parents.
They shouldn’t hit or shove their parents.
They shouldn’t speak ill of their parents.
They shouldn’t disobey their parents.

Do you realize the struggles your parents went through not only to bring you into this world, but to keep you here, AND provide for themselves while raising you?!

We all need to heed to the advice of Prophet Muhammad, and listen to the command of Allah.
Inshaa Allah we’ll change, and we’ll get better.
Which will make our parents happy, and will ultimately make Allah happy.
‘Cause isn’t that why we’re here?

Far right demonstrates outside High CourtA high court judge has banned protests by groups such as the English Defence League being held within 500 metres of the home of the radical Islamist cleric Abu Qatada.

Mr Justice Silber said the injunction issued on Monday was necessary because the protests, which have been held on a weekly basis, had terrified the cleric's family, particularly his children, the youngest of whom is aged 11.

Abu Qatada, who was once described by a Spanish judge as Osama bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe, is currently out on bail under a 16-hour daily curfew. The home secretary, Theresa May, is appealing against a ruling by British judges that he cannot be sent back to Jordan while there is a risk he faces a trial based on evidence obtained through torture.

The high court injunction issued on Monday will ban the English National Resistance, the English Defence League, Britain First, the South East Alliance, the English Volunteer Force and others from staging demonstrations within 500 metres of Abu Qatada's London home.

"There was powerful evidence from the claimants of weekly demonstrations with much shouting of abuse such as 'Abu Qatada off our streets', 'all Muslims are terrorists', 'murdering scumbag', 'go back to Jordan', 'just murder him' and 'forget all this just kill him', Silber said in his ruling. He said some of the chanting and shouting had lasted up to six hours.

Abu Qatada's wife and five children, who brought the case, said the protests had terrified them. The 11-year-old said: "I feel they are a threat to us and I feel scared in the house. I also feel scared when walking outside even on a normal day (when there is no demonstration)."

The cleric's second eldest child, aged 21, said: "When the demonstrations occur, usually on Saturdays, the whole family has to stay in the house. When they first arrive it is very startling and then it is frightening … the demonstrators frighten and panic me and have the effect of worsening a medical condition that I suffer from."

The groups staging the protests vowed on their websites never to stop the demonstrations, and to expose his every address. "We intend to make his life a misery," they said.

The judge said the order would extend a temporary ban issued on 1 February to prevent a demonstration taking place outside the house the next day. Silber stressed that it was perfectly legitimate to protest against Abu Qatada's presence in Britain and the provision of a taxpayer-funded house for the cleric and his family to live in. Abu Qatada himself was not involved in the case.

A second injunction granted on Monday prevents the publication of the names of the children, their pictures and the schools they attend, to prevent further harassment.

This is the headline to an article in the Belfast Telegraph, which reports that girls in the North of Ireland "are being sexually exploited in the same way as the girls in the notorious Rochdale grooming case, a leading charity has said". It quotes Jacqui Montgomery-Devlin of Barnardo's Safe Choices as saying that sexual exploitation is happening in "every town and city across Northern Ireland".

However, given that Muslims number only 1,943 out of a total population of 1,685,267 in the North, 97% of whom are Christians, I rather doubt that the commentators who saw the religious affiliation of the perpetrators as a central factor in Rochdale will be arguing the same in this case.
