I have a very good friend who grew up in conservative Christian circles in the American South. Whenever she was taught anything about Islam, it was reasons why Islam is wrong and Christianity is right. People loved to point fingers at what we call the Five Pillars of Islam and say, “The five pillars are all about following enough rules to earn salvation.” I am here to say that no, they are not. The five pillars are ways that we show our love to God, and all five of them were present in the Bible centuries before Muhammed was born.
The Shahada, or the confession of faith in one God. “There is no god but God.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 is known as the Shema, and it was the cornerstone of everything taught in the Bible. It says, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.” In the Injeel, a man asked Saydna ‘Isa what the greatest commandment is. Saydna ‘Isa recited Deuteronomy 6:4-5.
The Salat, or the prayer that we pray 5 times a day facing Mecca. Daniel, one of the prophets in the Old Testament, opened his window towards Jerusalem three times a day to pray.
The Sawm, or month-long fast during Ramadan. Many verses in the Bible point to the importance of fasting, both in the Old Testament and the Injeel. Psalm 35:13 says, “I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting.” Ezra 8:21 says, “I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.” And in Matthew 4:2, we see that Saydna ‘Isa fasted in the desert for forty days.
The Zakat, or giving to charity. Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room for it.” In Mark 12:41-44, Saydna ‘Isa saw a poor widow give less than two pennies into the temple treasury; he was amazed at her gift and said that she gave everything that she had to God.
The Hajj, or the pilgrimage. Any able-bodied Muslim, as finances permit, should make a pilgrimage to Mecca once in his or her lifetime. Psalm 84:5 says, “Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.” It is important to remember our heritage by visiting the places that our fathers visited.
Again, we do not follow the Five Pillars to earn love and salvation from God. We follow them because we love Him.

The fundamental differences between Quran and Bible are on the basis of faith and practices in both religions. The manuscript of Bible has been written by many authors as compared to Quran in which the writings show that it is an account made by God Himself. Quran is a complete book and Bible consists of 66 small books from which 18 books consist of signs of their origins because they were reveled upon some Prophet but other books had no claims to their origin. No self referencing is seen in Bible because the word “Bible” has not been used in it on the other hand Quran consists of self referencing. There are many miracles prophecies mentioned in Bible in contrast there are no miracles record because Quran is a miracle itself.

Although Quran accepts that Torah and Gospel both are the books reveled upon different Prophets but at the same time the concept of crucification of Jesus is not stated in it. According to Quran Jesus did not rise from the dead in contrast to Bible. The concept that Jesus was the begotten son of God is also a misconception that is found in Bible but not in Quran. Quran depicts oneness of Allah and accepts Jesus (PBUH) as His prophet. There is no son, no parents and no one equal to God. Bible also teaches the concept of Trinity which is understood as the father (God), the son (Jesus), and Mary.  Bible depicts that man is considered as a sinner and needs salvation which can only be achieved through faith as compared to Quran which states that man is born good not evil and if one want to achieve salvation than it can be  achieved through hard work and sincerity.

Besides these differences there are many other small differences between Quran and Bible. Some differences are based on historical facts rather than being doctrinal in nature. According to Quran Prophet Noah managed to escape the flood and his son was drowned in the flood but according to Bible Prophet Noah had managed to escape the flood with his wife, his three sons and their wives. The differences between Quran and Bible are found in their worst scenarios about Prophet Mosses. According to Quran Prophet Mosses was adopted by Pharoah’s wife but according to Bible he was adopted by Pharoah’s daughter.

Other differences between Quran and Bible are Muslims belief according to Quran that Prophet Ibrahim was offered at the altar by Abraham but Christians believe according to Bible that Prophet Isaac was offered at the altar. Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated by the Muslims on the basis of Quranic Surah where it is mentioned that after sacrificing the animal, only the dedication or godliness shall reach Allah not the blood or flesh of the animal. Bible on the other hand provides another view and it is stated that those families will escape from the judgment of God which apply the blood of sacrificial animal on the doorpost of their homes.

It is better to embrace cultural diversities; religious differences as well as beliefs and practices in daily lives. However, this should not be formed as the basis and principle under which others get to exploit those whom they do not share the same opinion or beliefs. In fact, the differences that people have should not be a channel for weakening the different aspects of humanity, but a factor to embrace all the differences appreciate and use it as a uniting factor.

There are some people who have held dearly their religion, and they take it better than the others. Some Christians or the Muslims would value themselves more than they do with others. Others would discriminate other religions just because they are using a bible or a Quran. But is there that much big difference? Does anything matter whether you rely on a Bible or Quran?

To be frank, there is no difference. The differences are only created by people to show how superior they are to others. But truth be told, there is no difference. It is high time people would learn to accept the fact, and take new angles of life that will enable them to understand things from a different perspective that shows love for all the human race. That is the most important thing.

There are no more reasons why a Muslim or a Christian should factor out the other. Of course the Quran and the bible were written by those whom the different religions believe wrote them. But if things are taken from the real point of view, with no biases, you will find these two books presumed to be holy serving both religion in the rightful and a good manner that shows love and respect for all humanity. Is it not the most important thing to do in this world?

Sure, the most memorable and adorable thing that you can ever do for people to live through ages remembering you, is the fight that will see the gap between different religion being reduced day by day. Is it not all that is required is to live in harmony? Exactly, that is the point.

Look at the Quran, read your bible well, analyze the two holy books. What do they say about other people or other religions? Do they advocate that you hate them, you misjudge them? No, not at all! In fact, the gospel so to speak that is spread by the Holy books, is the need to live peacefully and mutually in any society.

Look at the central religious texts for both the Christians and the Muslims. If you will be keen to read, you will note that there are over 50 stories that are related to the other in one way or the other. The characters in the bible and the Quran are almost the same. And the matters at hand that are being addressed by both religious books are of almost similar opinions. Therefore, do not create that difference that will not help humanity. Instead, embrace all people no matter what!

Le ministère de la Culture de la Turquie a révélé que un copier rare d’une Bible de 1500 ans a été trouvé écrit dans la langue araméenne et de l’alphabet syriaque, ce qui indique que Jésus (paix soit sur lui) a prédit que le Prophète Muhammad (paix soit sur lui) a été à venir à la terre après lui.

Turquie ministre de la Culture et du Tourisme Ertuğrul Günay: “La valeur du livre est estimé à environ 22 millions de dollars qui contient la prophétie du Christ au sujet de la venue du Prophète Muhammad, mais l’église chrétienne a procédé à la cacher au cours des dernières années pour sa ressemblance avec ce qui est venu dans le Coran à ce sujet », comme cité par El-Ahram Gate.

Le journal britannique “Daily Mail” a rapporté que l’événement touche profondément le Vatican, où le pape Benoît XVI a demandé pour avoir un aperçu du livre, qui est resté dans l’ombre pendant plus de 12 ans.

Le contenu de cette version de la Bible correspond à des idées islamiques, qui décrit Jésus comme un être humain et non un Dieu à adorer, l’islam rejette la Sainte Trinité et la crucifixion du Christ, et que Jésus a prédit la venue du Prophète Muhammad après lui.

Il est écrit dans cette copie retrouvée de la Bible que Jésus a dit à un prêtre qui a demandé son successeur, il dit: «Muhammad est son saint nom, descendant de Ismail, le père des Arabes.”

Günay a dit que le Vatican avait officiellement demandé pour avoir un aperçu du livre, qui est devenu en la possession des autorités turques, après sa disparition en 2000 dans la région méditerranéenne de la Turquie. Selon les médias, la Bible a été saisi de quelques artefacts de contrebande de gangs au cours d’une opération de police dans le sud de la Turquie en 2010.

Le gang a été reconnu coupable d’avoir des articles de contrebande saisies diverses lors de l’opération, y compris la Bible, et tous les objets ont été conservés dans un coffre-fort à un palais de justice d’Ankara. La Bible a été récemment remis à la garde du Musée d’Ethnographie d’Ankara.

Le Saint Coran dit dans le verset 6 de la sourate Al-Saf, ” Et quand Moïse dit à son peuple : “ô mon peuple ! Pourquoi me maltraitez-vous alors que vous savez que je suis vraiment le Messager d’Allah [envoyé] à vous ? ” Puis quand ils dévièrent, Allah fit dévier leurs coeurs, car Allah ne guide pas les gens pervers.” (Coran, 61:06)

Pasteur protestant Ihsan Ozbek dit “Zaman”, le quotidien turc: “La copie de la Bible les dates les plus probables de dos à l’un des disciples de saint Barnabé comme il est écrit dans le cinquième ou sixième siècle, tandis que Saint-Barnabé a vécu dans la Ier siècle après J.-C. pour être l’un des apôtres du Christ “

Saint-Barnabé est traditionnellement identifié comme étant le fondateur de l’Église chypriote, un des premiers chrétiens plus tard le nom d’un apôtre.

Comme il est expliqué par le professeur de théologie Ömer Faruk Hermann: «L’examen scientifique de le livre écrit à la main nous permettra de suivre de près la détection de l’âge réel de la copie pour être en mesure de déterminer si elle a effectivement été écrit par Saint-Barnabé, ou un de ses disciples “.

The Ministry of Culture of Turkey revealed that a rare copy of a 1,500-year-old Bible was found written in Aramaic language and Syriac alphabet, indicating that Jesus (peace be upon him) predicted that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was coming to earth after him.

Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay: “The value of the book is estimated to be around $ 22 million, which contains the prophecy of Christ about the coming of Prophet Muhammad, but the Christian church proceeded to hide it over the past years for its similarity with what came in the Quran about it,” as quoted by El-Ahram Gate.
The British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported that the event deeply concerns the Vatican, where Pope Benedict XVI requested to preview the book, which has remained in the shadows for more than 12 years.

The content of this version of the Bible corresponds to the Islamic ideas, which describes Jesus as a human and not a God to worship, Islam rejects the Holy Trinity and Christ’s crucifixion, and that Jesus predicted the coming of Prophet Muhammad after him.

It is written in this newly found copy of the Bible that Jesus told a priest asked who his successor, he said: “Muhammad is his holy name, descending from Ismail the father of Arabs.”

Günay said that the Vatican had formally requested to preview the book, which became in the possession of the Turkish authorities, after his disappearance in 2000 in the Mediterranean region in Turkey. According to media, the Bible was seized from a gang smuggling artifacts during a police operation in southern Turkey in 2010.

The gang was reportedly convicted of smuggling various items seized during the operation, including the Bible, and all the artifacts were kept in a safe at an Ankara courthouse. The Bible was recently handed over to the care of the Ankara Ethnography Museum.

The Holy Quran says in verse 6 of Surat Elsaf: And when Jesus son of Mary said, “O Children of Israel, I am God’s Messenger to you, confirming what preceded me of the Torah, and announcing good news of a messenger who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he showed them the miracles, they said, “This is obvious sorcery.”.)
Protestant pastor Ihsan Ozbek said to “Zaman” the Turkish newspaper: “The copy of the Bible most likely dates back to one of the followers of St. Barnabas as it is written in the fifth or sixth century, while St. Barnabas lived in the first century AD for being one of the apostles of Christ”

St. Barnabas is traditionally identified as the founder of the Cypriot Church, an early Christian later named an apostle.

As explained by Professor of Theology Ömer Faruk Hermann: “The scientific examination of the hand written book will enable us to closely detect the actual age of the copy to be able to determine whether it was actually written by St. Barnabas, or one of his followers”.
