Have you prepared yourself for Ramadan?

on Tuesday, July 9, 2013

The most blessed and beautiful month is tomorrow. ALLAH SWT says that in this month the doors of Heaven are opened for His believers and doors of Hell are closed. Yes, this is the month of RAMADAN. So, have you prepared yourself for this Holy month? If not, then we all should start preparing ourselves for this beautiful month. We should keep this thought in mind that may be this is our last Ramadan as life is so uncertain. I do not think that you have forgotten to prepare the budget of the month of Ramadan for food and drink.

You should prepare yourself spiritually for Fasting on Mondays to know how it feels. You should make a habit of reciting Quran daily. Some people recite Quran only in the month of Ramadan and leave it when this month is over. That’s not good enough!

Everyone has his or her weaknesses; some are addicted to coffee and tea while some are addicted to smoking. In either case, you should try to decrease your intake otherwise it will be tough for you to fast for the whole day. If you are on medication, then it is imperative for you to consult your doctor to know if you are permitted to fast or you need to reschedule your medication.

The most important thing is to get rid of Music and TV and read an interesting Islamic book instead. Ramadan is the month in which we can gain mercy and forgiveness from ALLAH for all of our past and present sins. It is a month for generosity and giving. We should think about those who have less than us and Thank ALLAH for everything He has given us. We should start giving charity to needy people so when the month of Ramadan arrives we would increase in our generosity by giving to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

We should strive to perfect our character and manners as these good deeds will be of the heaviest on scale and will enable us to reach the highest ranks of Jannah. In Ramadan, the reward of every good deed is multiplied. The most important deeds are to implement Sunnah in our daily life. It is the best habit we can ever have in our lives. We can gradually learn all the Suunah and Dua’as of every aspect so that we can implement it also in the month of Ramadan.

May ALLAH SWT grant us the truthfulness of fasting and the qualities of being pious. May ALLAH grant you and me with His mercy and pleasure, reach the rank of those who are near to Him. May the peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon the Prophet, his family, his companions, and those who followed them with excellence.

RAMADAN MUBARAK TO YOU ALL!
