How Islam and Christianity can be Related?

on Friday, June 21, 2013

Islam and Christianity are two religions that have the highest followers on earth. These two religions are reversed greatly and have similar stories but different belief. Islam is not related to Christianity with its belief and norms. The worship pattern of a Muslim is far more different from that of a Christian and also the belief is not the same. Islam is the final Abrahamic religion of Allah. It is not a newly found religion but it has become the restoration of the religious teachings of Christ, Noah, Moses and many other prophets. The Quran has become the final word of Allah and has become intact since the revelation and Allah has made it His duty to protect the Quran even now. The Quran says (what means): “Say (O Muhammad to the Jews and Christians): ‘We believe in Allah and that which has been sent to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and to Al-Asbat, and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinctions, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).” [Quran 2:136] Christianity is an Abrahamic religion that is based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, its believers or followers believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died and rose on the third day as the redeemer of the whole world and for the remission of their sins. The foundation of this religion is clearly expressed in their way of life. A life, they believe, is Christ like where they are above the situations of this mundane life. The dress and lifestyle of a Christian is different from a Muslim who seems to be more conserving than a Christian. And this is from the verses that are in Quran for every Muslim. When it comes to going to heaven or paradise, there is a huge difference in the belief of both religions. The Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “Whoever believes in Allâh and His Messenger, offers prayers perfectly and fasts (the month of) Ramadan then it is incumbent upon Allâh to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allâh’s cause or stays in the land where he was born.” They (the companions of the Prophet (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “O Allâh’s Messenger (sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam)! Should we not inform the people of that?” He said, “There are 100 degrees in Paradise which Allâh has prepared for those who carry on Jihad in His Cause.” For the Christians, they believe in Jesus as the Son of God, they believe that you should lay down your worries, your sins, your challenges, your poverty and drop it at the feet of Jesus as a total surrender to him. This is one way you have the opportunity of going to heaven. If you can only believe in Him that He is the son of God. Muslims do not have the same belief and this why is there is a huge gap between the religions. The beliefs are not that similar which is causing misconceptions between the followers of both religions. Islam has become the fastest growing religion in the world, and it is still growing just as Christianity is growing. Islam is complete this is why you cannot but appreciate the religion. Christianity is not less which is why it has the highest number of followers in the world. This is because there are lots of revelations that you would see as a Muslim when you become one. For Christians, they believe in trinity, this is what Muslims do not believe in. They believe in all Prophets, and that Jesus is one of the Prophets and not the Son of God.
