Surah Al Baqarah

Surah Al Baqarah “The Cow” – (Chapter / Surah 2)

“Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.”

 Hadith on Surah Al Baqarah

Surah Baqarah keeps Shaitaan (Satan) Out

Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Do not turn your houses into graves. Shaitaan is barred from any house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.”

 Source: Sahih Muslim

Explanation: Some houses have a happy, welcoming feel to them while others have a depressing, desolate aura about them. A house that is haunted inspires in the person who enters it, the feeling that one should not be there and makes one feel like running away from it. One of the ways to keep the Shayateen (devils) out of your house is by reciting Surah Baqarah in it frequently. When a house is free of Shayateen (devils) you will feel peaceful and comfortable in it.
